August Gone

Straight outta St Clements, fronted by bassist, singer and songwriter August, August Gone has quite literally gone from being a remote collaboration to a three-piece live act bursting with rock ‘n’ roll energy.
A smorgasbord of influences serving up slices of grunge, rock, metal, country, funk and a mild dash of pop create a uniquely fresh, deliciously vintage vibe.

In early 2022, August Gone delivered their first set of original, self-produced songs in the form of EP ‘Four Leaf Clover’ available on all major streaming platforms, closely followed by the release of music video and single ‘Apathy’, filmed and directed by the highly regarded and talented local filmmaker Philip Clyde-Smith.

With plenty more songs in the offing and more upcoming releases, August Gone's focus has now turned to bringing their sound to the stage for your viewing and aural pleasure.

The raging wars serve as a catalyst for the lyrics in most of the existing and upcoming songs. It seems that killing each other is the only way forward as written in the lyrics on the song - The Violent Ones.

War Metal as I see it, is to write lyrics about the insanity of war and not to forget those who died.

TAPATORA name has multiple meanings. It is an ancient name for a male that was mainly used in Finland. It is also the name of an island near Tampere and if you translate it in English, it means kill the quarrel / dispute / wrangle.

Last Resort are a 5 piece band with Steve Carter, (Guitar and Vocals) Helen Finch, (Bass) Paul Allman,(Lead Guitar) Rob Ward,(Drums and Vocals) Andy Pickup, (Keyboards and Vocals). We write, record and perform our original music in Jersey. We also use Last Resort as a vehicle to work with other musicians of any standard for jam sessions , recording etc just to keep in touch and swap ideas and create music and enjoy.
