Hey,
this year has been a journey—profoundly moving and filled with change, both in the world around us and in my own life. As an artist, I often find myself sitting at the piano with no clear plan, letting the music unfold on its own.

This time, something unexpected happened. I started playing in a major key—a rarity for me—and the piece turned out light, almost childlike. As I played, an unplanned memory popped into my mind: a little scene of riding my bike as a child. It’s strange how music can stir up such vivid, unexpected feelings. Has that ever happened to you?

Out of Darkness: Become ONE

Inspired by Bruce's struggle with hearing loss, Monophonic takes the listener on an emotional roller coaster. In 2005, doctors discovered a destructive cyst called a cholesteatoma growing inside Bruce's left ear. After surgical removal of the cyst and reconstruction of his ear, he was left with severe hearing loss, tinnitus, and reoccurring ear pain. These emotional experiences were translated into the music and artwork that make up Monophonic.

With mixing and mastering by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, Pg.lost), the five track EP is dark, melodic and explosive, taking musical inspiration from bands like Explosions in the Sky and Russian Circles, to those outside of the post-rock genre such as Pink Floyd and The Cure.

We're so pleased to release the brand new solo piano piece 'please tell my mum to burn me' by Berlin based pianist, composer and videographer @alice_baldwin. The delicate and fragile piece is a study in simplicity, with Baldwin setting out to write using only select keys of the piano - as seen in the beautiful & intimate companion video featuring her custom alterations to the instrument : https://youtu.be/gm2lo8JpSDA

These five tracks were live recorded during the preparation sessions of some setups for which I was experimenting with new instruments and research. The compositions are at the same time different but similar because they were born from the same need to tell precise feelings and thoughts of this moment of my life.
My winter tales represent a suspended world in which I try to reinvent, once again, my emotional space.
