Pack of Lies is essentially a thought-provoking protest song about how politicians can tell you what you want to hear, and almost create fake news. So, it’s a call to people to make your own decisions ‘look inside your soul, look hard and deep’, and don’t necessarily take everything at face value. 

Written at the time of Brexit, and more relevant than ever in the time of the Worldwide Pandemic crisis, it’s a song that combines indignance, passion, menace and metal to remind people that even in this era of powerlessness politics, with its grim consequences, we have our personal power to choose how we respond to it.

Life’s Mysteries is a raw song of exasperation. About a frustrating situationship where the lovers involved clearly like each other, share traits they want, are always reaching out -- but hold each other at arms’ length. It’s a one-sided plea for honesty, no matter the outcome, ‘It’s never forbidden to think all your thoughts’ and can it just be sorted out? Because it all makes no sense, it’s just stupid now. Their relationship is one of Life’s Mysteries.

Aurora-Project’s debut single written at the beginning of lockdown: “No Hiding is a commentary on finding ourselves in the madness and sadness of the situation. But a beacon of hope that one day we’ll be free to do as we like again."

Written, Recorded and Produced, during the Covid 19 Pandemic, the band have all worked hard to bring this song to our fans.

Aurora-Project are a 5-piece Manchester rock metal band with influences ranging from folk and classical to shoegaze and electro darkwave. Formed in 2006, and recently refreshed by new addition of frontwoman Rachel, Aurora-Project features Jim on guitar, Rob on mandolin and viola, Gaz on bass and Paul on drums. 
 
All five are experienced musicians, involved in a variety of cross-genre musical projects and bands. Each member bringing their own very different influences – making Aurora-Project’s sound a pretty unique and exciting listen. 

This is a band unafraid to experiment with different rhythms, key, tonality and scale. Driven by heavy guitar, drums and bass, listeners can expect all the pace of heavy rock and metal, decorated by Rob’s classical/folk-influenced mandolin and viola. All set to thoughtful lyrics and a rich melodic vocal-style, parts PJ Harvey, parts Kate Bush – all Rachel.


Now having written enough songs to play a fun, exhilarating set, Aurora-Project is gearing up to booking UK shows and working to record their debut release next year.
