Cleaning up the studio can reveal some treasures! Bumped into a whole bunch of MiniDiscs recorded at the infamous FOOD CLUB in Leuven and Brussels where I was one of the resident DJ's. I have to share this with you of course!

Here's a recording from May 2002 starting early in the night at The Lounge venue.

This month we’ve got party starters Tokyo Fantasy taking the lead in our mix series. Cam and “Nervous” Fergus are the self-proclaimed music dork duo from London, whose diverse parties have hosted highly respected names like Tornado Wallace, Secretsundaze, Jamie Tiller, and previous guest mix contributor, Carista.

Whilst they have outgrown their reputation as “perpetual warm up DJ’s”, Cam and Fergus do know how to de-ice a crowd like no other. This is exactly what you’ll hear in this 1 hour 45 mins long mix, developing gradually from smooth-as-Sade tracks, to dubby instrumentals, into boogie, slow Italo, African voodoo, finishing off with some grade A disco. Absolute diggers delight, without any of the pretentiousness. As they say, break out the lambrini and enjoy.

I'm excited to present our first guest for Deep House Barcelona ! @Siggatunez is an outstanding DJ and producer from Frankfurt, currently based in Berlin, Germany. He is the founder and owner of vinyl label @Tieffrequent, that focuses on house, deephouse and deep disco music. His passion and hard work caught the attention of Berlin club promoters and recognized producers from all around the world. He played at clubs such as @Watergate-Club and he recently signed an EP with the label @Suol owned by Chopstick & Johnson. I first saw Siggatunez playing live in the summer of 2014 at Mamaia Beach, Romania and been following his music career ever since. He delivered a fantastic set that stole our hearts while were dancing under the stars with the Black Sea waves next to us. Siggatunez is the true definition of underground deep house and disco music. Enjoy this exquisite mix that he recorded for DHB and get immersed into his hypnotic sounds !

Bloop Presents: Digging Deep.

A Radio Show hosted each time by a different artist, which gives the host an opportunity to play the different shades of electronic music, as opposed to the usual DJ set.

Each guest guides us through their personal record collection, from old influences, favourites, or simply the stuff they are digging at the moment.

This episode is a tribute to the black artists hailing mainly from Chicago and Detroit. Who have been a massive influence on the global dance music scene since the very beginning. #BlackLivesMatter

Fred Everything aka Frédéric Blais was brought up in Quebec City. 

In the early 90s, he started playing live in raves and clubs in Canada. He was then known as "Everything", because his live sets could range anywhere from techno to house, ambient and even drum and bass. 

Fred Everything's career as a DJ began in 1993, when he opened for Sasha at the Metropolis club night in Montreal. After building up a reputation in the US and Canada, he moved to Montreal in 1996, where he released many records under various record labels, including 20:20 Vision, with whom he went on to release a total of 20 records including his widely successful album "Under the Sun" in 2000.
