Für ihr Verhältnisse kommt der Mix mit 85 Bpm zwar recht gemütlich um die Ecke, zeigt uns aber wieder einmal mehr, dass die Bpm-Zahl allein keine Einordnung in die Energie zulässt. Sphärische Klänge gepaart mit intelligentem Groove erzeugen eine fulminante Wirkung. Der Flow der sich von Anfang bis Ende durchzieht erlaubt es einem nicht, den Mix auszuschalten. Fast wie in Trance gefangen muss man diesen Mix bis zum Ende hören - Lasst euch verzaubern 🌀

On this glorious morning in March, Hekske (the little witch) woke up at the first sunlight. Falke (the 10-year old witch apprentice) was already awake and preparing their morning tea with the help of a family of squirrels. It was only a couple of days before the Spring equinox and finches and dunnocks were singing everywhere in the forest. Spring was in the air. 
After drinking a cup of herbal tea, the girls felt the urge to go and see the weeping willow which is standing in the middle of the central clearing of the forest. Soon, Hekske and Falke were standing at the foot of the giant tree, looking up in awe at its majestic dome-shaped canopy. This willow is by far the oldest tree in the forest and is believed to have been planted by Roxelana, the very first witch to live in these woods, which was over a thousand years ago. Hekske and Falke spontaneously gave a gentle hug to the age-old stem of the tree, and a feeling of sadness descended upon them. They were thinking back at all the animals who had died during the drought of last summer, and to all the trees which had been uprooted by the autumn storms. Both girls wept with thick tears rolling over their cheeks. After a while the Spring sun shone on the willow tree, and the witches looked at all the activity around them. A few meters away a hedgehog had just woken up from his winter sleep and popped up from underneath a pile of leaves. The young girls looked with tenderness while the drowsy animal was stretching his legs for the first time of the year. Falke casually touched one of the hanging branches of the willow tree, and to her amazement fresh green leaves unfolded in a matter of seconds. Then also Hekske touched another twig, which also magically turned green. The girls touched all the hanging twigs one by one, turning the whole tree in a fresh green color. When they looked around, they saw birds making nests everywhere. Their witch’s hearts filled with joy when looking at this hive of activity. Then something strange happened. A twig fell down just in front the girls’ feet. The witches immediately understood that the tree wanted this twig to be planted, just like the one the Ruthenian witch Roxelana (Роксолана) had planted at this very place, over 1000 years ago. Falke took the twig, and followed her inner voice to the place where they decided to plant this tiny little new willow tree. And this was the start of another journey of 1000 years …

Creating this set took me longer than usual. I just wanted it to be special and a bit different from all the others I’ve done in my life but still with kind of a signature of me. So it wasn’t easy to find the right atmosphere and mood for it. In the end I’m really satisfied with the result and hope that you all will enjoy this journey as much as I did.

 It contains some special tracks that I've wanted to put together in a set for a long time Special thanks to all the great artists out there who are creating this beautiful music I used for this podcast!

When we crave some thrill, we enjoy putting together a great but challenging playlist and asking a DJ friend to mix it up for us. On the one hand this is great to optimize mixing skills and workflow, on the other hand it is just challenging to work with tracks you don't really know at all. 

This activity called a mixing game (Mischspiel), was invented by Eve Lyn on a lovely spring day in a great creativity resort in France. Diesmal kommt der neue Mushcast direkt aus Zürich zugeflogen. Aus Liebe - das ist nicht nur der Grund,  warum Musik auch über viele Grenzen hinweg verbindet, das ist auch sein Künstlername. 
"Kräftige 96bpm" hat er uns geschickt und denen merkt man nicht an, dass sie ca. 800 km digitale Luftlinie hinter sich haben! Energetisch und melodisch erzählen sie ihre Geschichten, vom Reisen in fremde Länder oder in die Rhythmen der eigenen Seele. Hoffnungsvoll, melancholisch und zum Träumen schön!

Der aus Zürich stammende @AusLiebe war schon als Kind von der Musik fasziniert. Mit übergrossen Kopfhörern lauschte er gespannt den Vinylplatten seiner Eltern und beschallte mit seinem Fisher-Price Recorder die Nachbarschaft. Die Jahre vergingen, aber die Leidenschaft für Musik blieb.

Anfangs von der Geschwindigkeit und Melancholie des Deep House berauscht, fand er auf seinen Reisen die Liebe zur Entschleunigung und zu den hypnotisch treibenden Bässen Asiens, Afrikas und Lateinamerikas.

Seine Geschichten, in welchen er hypnothische Rhythmen und sphärische Klänge zu einer tanzbaren, liebevoll verträumten Symphonie vereint, sind mal düster, mal euphorisch, mal schnell, mal langsam, aber immer aus Liebe erzählt.

@AusLiebe, who comes from Zurich, was already fascinated by music as a child. With oversized headphones, he listened intently to his parents' vinyl records and pumped up the neighbourhood with his Fisher-Price recorder. The years passed, but the passion for music remained.

Initially ecstatic with the speed and melancholy of deep house, he found a love for deceleration and the hypnotically driving basses of Asia, Africa and Latin America during his travels.

His stories, in which he combines hypnotic rhythms and spherical sounds into a danceable, lovingly dreamy symphony, are sometimes dark, sometimes euphoric, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but always told out of love.
