Aus Music celebrates its tenth birthday this year, as well as its landmark release number 100 – fittingly enough. Will Saul‘s imprint has spent the last decade lovingly building its reputation as one of the most trusted and respected labels for dance music the UK, and quite possibly worldwide too. Joy Orbison’s So Derobe, Ramadanman’s Void 23, George Fitzgerald‘s Child, Leon Vynehall‘s Brother, Bicep‘s Just – it’s likely that Aus Music has soundtracked your most memorable and significant club moments.

To mark two milestones in Aus history, the label presents a 24-track quadruple vinyl/triple CD/vast digital compilation set to drop this summer. Composed of entirely new and exclusive tracks, the compilation is built up by key members from the Aus family as well as boss Mr. Saul himself – Bicep, Midland, Huxley, Deetron, Nick Höppner, Pearson Sound, Youandewan, Marquis Hawkes, Gerd, Sei A, Bwana, Fold, Shenoda, Appleblim and Komon.

It’s our honour to be hosting a five-part Debut series in conjunction with Aus Music, consisting of one Debut a week for five weeks running up to the release date; as well as a very special Boiler Room x AUS100 takeover in London. Joining the celebrations will be Nick Höppner, Marquis Hawkes, Will Saul and a secret guest to be announced the day before.



First up in our Debut series is from the unstoppable dual force of Bicep and Hammer. Fresh from last year’s EP collab Dahlia, Belfast’s tour de force bring it back home with “ARACARI” – a sentimental banger following in the same footsteps as their previous teamwork, and purpose-built for all 4am dancefloors around the world. Stay tuned for four more surprise instalments as the weeks roll our. The future’s looking bright for Aus Music.

'By Your Side' is the second solo release of the year from Will Saul, it follows his spring 12" 'Bugs' which gathered support from Gilles Peterson on his BBC 6 music show as well as Leon Vynehall, Midland & Deetron. Never content to sit still in one style or genre 'BYS' see's will exploring his love for electro, acid and tripped out left of center house. With more EP's on the horizon for the autumn we find an artist full of inspiration, elated to be back in the studio and enjoying his most fruitful production spell in recent history.

Next up on Bicep's Feel My Bicep imprint is a fresh single from fellow Irishman Cromby, featuring two remixes from Electro stalwart DeFeKT and the ever-dependable Shanti Celeste. 

Having held down a 6-year residency at Shine in his hometown of Belfast, Cromby now lives in Berlin where he has continued his ascent; having gone on to earn sets at Panorama Bar and Robert Johnson as well as a release Denis Sulta’s Silver Service label. 

Now - he slots neatly into the FMB catalogue with 'Retribution' - a single that draws from his experience spent on the floor and behind the booth at clubs in Berlin, with it's stirring chords and frazzled drums. 

DeFeKT's offers up a buoyant, 808-heavy take on the original while Shanti's 'Chill' mix omits the kicks in favour of her signature sunny synth tones.

French legend Laurent Garnier teams up with Chambray for a steamy collaborative track titled 'Feeling Good' - set to land via Rekids on July 12.

The jumping single comes paired with two remixes from the Rekids co-founder himself, Matt Edwards (aka Radio Slave). Ahead of the release, we've received Radio Slaves' rapturous and breaks-infused "revenge mix" of Chambray and Garnier's fantastic new tune.

John Andersson aka Zoo Brazil is a living legend in the game - a Swedish multi platinum Grammy-nominated record producer, songwriter and DJ residing in Stockholm. His discography of releases from over 20 years showcases a work ethic unparalleled by most modern producers, with gems found all over his writing and production credits and more than a few bangers! Anyone that loves Rüfüs should get around his song “Hearts a Legend” from 10 years ago - one of my year's favourite underrated TUNES for sure. Amazingly we’ve been pals since the mid 2000’s after meeting in a club in Melbourne, bonding through a mutual vibe of analogue recording techniques, synths and drum machines, and have wanted to work together on a project for equally as long. So it was especially cool when John presented us a bunch of music specifically made for clipp.art! Though the intention was to take Ibiza by storm this year with this collection of tracks that bump between the tougher spectrum of house, french touch, and opus’s for the Burning Man amulet wearing glitterati, after COVID struck we decided to break these tunes down to a series of double AA side thumpers, starting here with “Outputs / Lions”. The first of the duo “Outputs” delivers all the goodness of heady evenings, ecstasy soaked brains and dancefloors, dust pouring out of your boots the following morning, etcetera. The whistle lead a lighthouse beacon moving you over wave upon wave of pure dance emotion. You are correct - this is E music, people. On the flip, “Lions” glides into view like the mirage of Lee Foss riding a segway on the playa at 7am, bee’s pouring out of his mouth Candyman style.. Wait, was today "take Acid day", or no? Too late. The propulsive grid of beats and bassline has you and is stretching you multiple directions like paint all over the art car. The siren song of good times. Enjoy these two special tunes, yes, there is more to come! And be kind to yourselves and others. Namaste.
