Since bursting onto the scene in 2010 with huge support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, John Digweed and Dave Clarke, Ireland’s Ian O'Donovan has gone on to achieve great feats as an artist. Ian has forged a unique style within the techno scene, blending a touch of the past with his melodic sound and moulding it into place with top level production. His tracks have found homes on iconic imprints such as Kevin Saunderson's KMS in Detroit, John Digweed's burgeoning Bedrock Records, Christian Smith's Tronic and Sasha's Last Night on Earth label.
Ian has reworked classics like Inner City's 'Good Life' and collaborated with legends like John Digweed along with a string of top solo releases, which have won favour with industry titans like Richie Hawtin and Carl Cox. After standout early releases on Detone and KMS, 2015 sees Ian O'Donovan's stock once more on the rise, fuelled further by the signing of inimitable techno cut 'Vortex' to Adam Beyer's global phenomenon Drumcode Records; an indication that this timeless producer is only now entering his stride. Aus Music follow up a string of records from fresh signees Paul Woolford, Tom Trago and Recloose with the return of a long term friend and label favourite Marquis Hawkes. Hot on the heels of his recent LP ‘Social Housing’ - the Berlin based artist lines up ‘Doornroosje’, a tight a two-tracker that remains consistent with his output on Aus: dancefloor-focused jams suffused with simplicity and soul.

‘Discopuss’ kicks things off with a potent combination of samples and hardware as sassy Funk samples are propelled by tough crunching drums. The title track then follows up with piano stabs and busy, percolating synth lines driven at a pacy rate to rapturous effect rounding off another solid addition to Aus Music’s catalogue.

Italian duo Subradeon team up with Radio Slave’s Rekids to deliver four illuminating cuts entitled ‘Walking Through Motown EP’.

Beginning their musical journey in Southern Italy over a decade ago, the now Berlin-based duo Subradeon have been building steady momentum by releasing a handful of EPs on Detroit’s Motech Records, trau-ma and their own Subradeon Records label. Gradually honing their soulful productions with an emphasis on
Detroit techno – the duo quickly caught the attention of Rekids label boss Radio Slave. They now join the reputable Berlin imprint with ‘Walking Through Motown EP’, closing the label’s 2018 to follow lauded releases from Sebo K, Markus Suckut, P.Leone, SRVD, Nocow, and many more accomplished names.

‘Walking Through Motown (Part 1)’ is an uplifting track with mesmerising leads and swirling synths combining to create ethereal atmospheres before ‘Walking Through Motown (Part 2) offers beautifully resonating kicks, undulating chord progression and melodious synth flutters. On the flip, ‘The Law Is Spiritual’ maintains the symphonious spectacle balancing inspiriting vocals, rattling percussion and a weighty bassline whilst ‘We Will Still Resist’ employs fluid drums, looping piano keys and euphoric elements to finish.
