It comes from Wiradjuri and Waiwalan land, here in Gulargambone, NSW 2828 the real red dirt, river country, with galahs overhead and strength underfoot.

This isn’t just a track, this is a truth spoken in song.
It’s about the Aboriginal women of this place who kept the fire burning.
Who held the babies, the stories, the pain, and the culture.

This song is dedicated to them, and especially to my neighbour, Linnygirl.

Linnygirl has been a key part of my own survival here in Gular.
Her strength, her love, and her quiet power have kept me grounded when I could’ve been lost.

She is Country. She is wisdom. She is one of the women this song sings for — and sings to.
