One of the most beautiful and interesting musical projects created by the great and electronic pioneer Maurizio Dami aka Alexander Robotnick comes back to life. Giorgio Records is proud to present the first official vinyl reissue of Mya & The Mirror with the song Hesitation (in both vocal and reflex versions) sung beautifully by Mya Fracassini, mezzo soprano lent to dance music. The 12“ contains an amazing remix of Armonics, now at home at Giorgio Records and two edits: an unreleased live edit by Alexander Robotinick played at the Italorama in Berlin in 2018 and one that comes from Australia by the very kind George Hysteric! The Queer Northern-Ireland born Cormac is back from another busy year as a label honcho and curator with the second Polari compilation No Tears In The Backroom Vol. 2 scheduled for release 31st of January 2024.

The compilation is filled with synth heavy swings, acid basslines, steamy vocals and lots of fun, making NTITB Vol. 2 the perfect entrance release into the new year.

As part of his Next Wave Acid Punx series, Curses offers up his “Revamp” of Deborah Sasson’s (Carmen) Danger In Her Eyes, a curio from the wildly inventive mid late 80s that saw the American opera singer collaborate with German producers MCL (MicroChipLeague). A European chart topper on its original release, it's long since languished in obscurity, but in Curses' hands this mix of operatic vocals and raw house beats is now ready to add its more than a touch of melodrama to dancefloor's once again. 

"Hearing opera on the dance floor always hits me in a special way," explains Curses. "Decadent operatic vocals within decadent euphoric club environments just transports you to another time and place. When I first heard Danger In Her Eyes I was immediately inspired to make an edit that embraced that operatic escape but elevated the energy with harder drums and a proto-Trance EBM attitude like ate 80s early 90s releases from Manufacture, Interfront or BOY records.”
