Mad Liberation is a collection of songs that I have been working on for the past year that ranged from mostly original compositions to varied sample work (retro vinyl recordings and new all original recordings); digital synthesis that took me weeks to master; to live instrumentation tediously and soulfully recorded by myself and some of my very good friends. 

This collection of noise - to me - became an album, a sound in a whole, an idea free from limits of thought and more an idea of the heart and soul. Mad Liberation is a piece of me that is representative of my past, breathes life into my present, and is a taste of the future. 

I don't have fancy recording equipment, amazing speakers, crazy keyboards, complicated sample packs, proper studio time, cutting edge midi controllers, or outboard mixing gear. 

What I do have is an endless imagination of the future/now, unrelenting will, constant fascination, and a heart that has no capacity to stop loving and trying. 

This business - when you boil it down - is not about the machine, but about the man. Even electronic music is humanistic. We breath life into these dead things to make them whisper and ROAR!! I am inspired by that fact, and this is what sets me free.

We’re very excited to introduce you to a new member of the Samsara Family: Jonah K. 
Based in Canada, Jonah is a sonic artist specialized in deep, bass-driven electronic music. 
In his tracks, ’Symbols’ and ‘Unearthed’, you will find complex Halftime and D&B rhythms, textured bass, and eerie atmospheres, all blended together to create 2 energetic dance-floor tools. As usual, we asked some good friends to reinterpret these tunes: the first remix is by Paige Julia, who twisted the title track creating a unique heavy-bass-banger with hip-hop influences. The second remix is by label’s head HNGVR, who flipped Unearthed into an introspective Halftime tune. Enjoy!

For over two decades now, Kraig Tyler, aka Liquid Giraffe, has ascended through the ranks in the music industry while constantly honing his skills along the way. An old buddy of mine kept a mix file that I gave him as his bday gift back in 2007. He recently sorted me with the file and we revisted memory lane together, for I completely forgot about this relic. I never kept a copy of this mix for myself. So to my surprise and amusement, we listened to it and judged the hell out of it over a couple of beers.
 
This was an all-vinyl set (and one of the last ones I ever recorded during that time period before I shifted over to Serato) that was done in one take. It's got it's flaws, and I'm completely ok with that. It was made in it's purest form: for the fun and love of the music, sharing amongst friends. Plus, it was a request from the bday rudebwoy. How could I not? I hope you enjoy!

September 26th, I got to join the Space Brains Crew for a Livestream Event! There was 14 hours of music, i played from, 330pm-430pm.

I didn't really have anything planned except to play tunes im sure no one else has heard. I think I succeeded.

I went into this set with the intentions of curating various vibes from a few genres that all shared space between the ranges of 160-170bpm's. This is yet another sound that I envision myself playing when out in open space, primarily out and around the southern Cali desert; under a starry sky. 

2020 has given me time to expand my mind at a fast rate and go in many directions all at once with music. It has allowed more elements to enter my musical arsenal; all while I keep myself true to what I gravitate naturally towards to, audibly. I hope you enjoy my funkydesertbass music. And I can't wait until the day I'm under the same moonlight as you all, enjoying the beats and feeling the bass. Free. And without a care in the world. Until then, I dream in virtual dust.
