Bryan Colston made his musical debut in 2009 as a hip hop duo “Crazyhorse And Colston”.   Together they created an award winning album, “Backroads and Bonfires”, as well as two award winning music videos.  Since then Colston has released an all original solo album, as well as a mixtape, both of which were instant Asheville classics.  He shows a lot of versatility with his deep lyrics matched with unique instrument driven hip hop beats.   Colston has opened up for Mobb Deep, Nappy Roots, Rass Kass, Akil the MC, Black Milk, Rapper Big Pooh, Blackalicious, and many more.

Meet Bevan, aka SHaManiK_BunnY, a multi-disciplined musician and no stranger to the stage from an early age. 

Having found true passion through emersing himself in psytrance from the early age of 12, he since grew up in Cape Town, South Africa's psy-haven with a thriving outdoor scene where he immersed himself in local festivals for over 8 years.

Bevan has a wealth of indoor and outdoor experience, further developed when he was inspired to travel the globe and attend some of the psy-calendar's most prestigious events, all of which he's managed to curate into a unique and energetic delivery of multi-dimensional vibrations.

Upon having moved to New Zealand and taking to the DJ decks, his genre of choice naturally gravitated towards an events pinnacle of heart-filled energetic vibes, Uplifting Full-On...but with a twist.

Like his DJ name suggests, Bevan's managed to carve his own unique melodic niche that separates out his sound, by creating an infused sweet-spot that blends a balance between his SHaManiK-side, and his BunnY-side.  

The shaman in him showcases a passion for the deep tribal, borderline primal melodies and bass that tickle the boundaries of dark-psy, whilst keeping things energetically elevated.  Couple that with the fluffy bunny side of some goa-inspired flowing melodies and ecstatic energetic peaks, he plays with two sub-genre's to cultivate something enthrallingly electric within 142-148 BPM, that you can't help but get lost in.

Neurotrophic is the name Michael Tao has chosen to represent the digital music he has been creating for the past few years (since 2017) Tao has been creating experimental digital music for about 20 years. His original project Reflections of The Soul.

In the Comanche language “Nʉmʉnʉʉ” (NUH-MUH-NUH) means “The People”.

I’ve been a hip hop fan since I was ten years old. The year was 1988 and my cousin Jimmy and I went to spend the summer with my grandparents in Colorado. Jimmy was older and much cooler than me. He had a boom box and a box of tapes that opened up a new and exciting world of discovery and wonder. The Fat Boys, LL Cool J and Whodini made me reimagine how music could be made. I’d grown up in the church and my stepfather was a musician, so I’d always been exposed to and loved music. My dad brought me up on classic country like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, as well as The Grateful Dead and Bob Seger. My mom always had two or three tapes in heavy rotation when we were in her car. Whitney Houston’s classic debut album, The Dirty Dancing Soundtrack and Amy Grant Christian albums. From my dad’s music I learned to appreciate soul and honesty in music. My mom’s music made me appreciate pop melodies and vocal harmonies. 
As a hip hop fan I’ve been influenced by who I’ll name as my Mt. Rushmore of beat makers. Jay Dilla, MF DOOM, DJ Premiere and Pete Rock. Not a very original or creative list I know, but they’re the best for a reason. 
As far as MCs go, I’d name Pharoahe Monch, MF DOOM, Talib Kweli, Masta Ace, Nas, Common and Black Thought as among my very favorites. 
I aspire to make music that any of these amazingly talented artists would consider rapping over. 
On a personal note, I’m 44 years old, I’m a Pisces and I love long walks on the beach. 
I’m a vegetarian, I still play basketball at least once a week and I try to meditate as often as I can. I truly believe that music is among the strongest forces is nature. During the pandemic I reassessed my life. I have a history degree that I’m not using and I am a bartender. None of my career prospects were making me happy and when I meditated and prayed on what did make me happy the answer was clear. Music has always been the thing that makes me happy and inspired. Life is too short to not at least try to do something that makes you happy. My music is my attempt at that. If I can make other people happy in the process then I will have been successful. ❤️
