Her passion for fresh underground music and love of rolling basslines is heard in all her mixes.  Live, Sweetpea feeds off the crowd's energy and loves to drop into dark, minimal sections.

She has stayed true to the music she loves in any crowd she's played to. She's played alongside some of the biggest names in the game at well-loved venues including Electric Brixton, Hidden, Egg, 93 Feet East and Cafe 1001.

In October 2012, http://soundcloud.com/dj-sweetpea was a featured artist for Lisa Nyx's female troop Syrenz. Since then she has gained a residency with Noise Brixton at the famous Dogstar. This girl is a true ambassador for the ladies, the scene and the music she holds dear.

Lunar3 - Different Resonance (Simon V Remix)

Bournemouth-based beatmaker Vektah continues to make weighty waves at the forefront of the Soulvent roster in 2022. Since releasing his debut 4-track ‘Culture Shift’ EP in 2021, featuring the breakout hit ‘Request’, he has been featured on a number of Soulvent compilation projects.  These include multiple batches of ‘Tonics’ EPs and the stand-out ‘Soulvent Meets Hospital’ remix project, remixing the mighty Fred V while receiving the equivalent treatment from Whiney. This time around the budding producer has leveraged his network to invite a number of noteworthy collaborators to help him deliver yet another accomplished body of work in the form of the ‘Echo Mode’ EP. 

EP Title track ‘Echo Mode (feat. PAV4N & T-Man)’ opens with ominous hats and a high pitched synth. Manchester mic-wielder T-Man leaves you under no illusion over what is to come. This incredibly energetic track first drop sees PAV4N sit atop a surgically crafted jungle break, complete with a signature Vektah bassline.

‘Pocket Rocket’ lifts off with a spacey arpeggio before launching into hyperdrive at the drop - with a bassline to command the attention of almost any dancefloor. You would be forgiven for thinking that a phone is ringing at times during this track - it’s probably a friend wanting to tell you about Vektah’s new EP.

On the penultimate track, Vektah enlists the aid of the mighty Levela to deliver down-right dastardly basswork on ‘Lockdown the Streets’. Both producers’ influences are evident with a vocal sample reminiscent of Vektah’s ‘Every Time’ and a gutteral bassline akin to Levela’s ‘Gasp’, resulting in a track that could keep the streets empty for weeks.

Finally, the aptly-named ‘Spectral’ conjures all manner of mental images with its introspective intro. As each drop hits, Vektah leaves no stone unturned with the percussive elements of the track. The strange, swelling bassline provides the perfect counter-weight to the soaring synth lines.

Let this release reverberate around your collection, landing in all good stores on 2nd September.

Beskar & Guzi - Cthuhluh

@KaizenFlow is made up of the duo Nick & Shane,

Shane had previously experienced producing music himself in college and regularly played guitar growing up, even joining a band to forward his talents.

Nick was an avid clubber at drum n bass parties around the UK.

It wasn't until shortly after their meeting that they started music production together just for fun.

It was not until they discovered the legendary sounds of DNB producers `Noisia` that their drum and bass journey was embarked upon.

In the past few years a quick rise to fame has started with some huge releases on huge labels such as Expedite, Eatbrain & Korsakov.

And now nearing the end of 2022 the duo have a whole catalogue of music set to be released.

This brings us to their debut with VTO Records. 

After meeting Dan and Lee the label owners in person at the Neuroheadz event. 

The 4 of them got their heads together to make sure this release happened and now we unleash the talents of this duo to the world.

`TLM`
The first of the 2 tracks was inspired to give a feeling of both nostalgia and high energy. 

The vocal chops take you back to tracks that they both listened to many years ago and a sprinkle of the Reece sound and neuro style basses give this the contract that they fell in love with all those
years ago. 

A very high paced fun Neuro track thats doing some serious damage at the moment

`Object`
A huge contrast to the first, Object represents a much different and highly original idea that was never a focus to release alongside TLM.

A more abstract track with its own agenda and a heavy vocal style lead that pieces the track together nicely.

An unusual and dark overlay of this track brings it to life and will be a stable track for VTO we feel for many years to come.

We share a mutual love of dark, techy drum & bass, although we are involved with a range of other bass-led genres. We DJ and write music individually and together. We run the AutomAte family of digital labels, including AutomAte, AutomAte Deep and AutomAte Tech. AutomAte aims to bring you the best in edgy drum & bass, aimed square at the dancefloor, from rising stars to established artists, from chunky steppers to dark rollers and all manner of other fancy-ticklers. The Tech label showcases a variety of gritty drum & bass music, from amen tracks and heavy-steppers to neuro and hardcore styles. We like it grimy with a slight attitude problem and an infectious groove.
