The UK’s Club Winston has been steadily unveiling a series of tripped-out club ready cuts via his own UKGEORGE label over the past few years along with remixes from the likes of D.Tiffany and Tim Reaper. Here though we see him join the roster of Spinning
Plates with his latest collection of works, an imprint that’s played host to material from the likes of SHKN, Neksha, Andy Rantzen, DJ Spider and Bruno Schmidt since its inception in 2015.
Title-track ‘Guzzle’ leads, laid out across five minutes with a menacing arpeggio bass lead, howling atmospherics and crunchy analogue drums. ‘Hell’ follows and tips the focus over to heavy doses of sub bass, intricately dynamic, modulating drums and intense swells of processed synths throughout.
Opening the flip-side is ‘Chart’, upping the energy levels with a pacey 4/4 drum groove while twitchy resonant synth lines, low-end pulsations and cavernous reverberations ebb and flow throughout. ‘Partook’ then rounds out the release, a cinematic ambient composition which lays focus on swirling, textural pads, glitched out resonant bleeps and fluttering low end hits.

Many Worlds Interpretation is a collection of cosmic Americana for electronics, guitar, and percussion culled from Jon Iverson’s extensive home-studio archive.

1984, Los Osos, California. In a small cinderblock cottage, hand-painted with bright psychedelic flora, Jon Iverson created vibrant new worlds. He spent long days and nights immersed in sound, perfecting home recording on his 8-track reel-to-reel, combining his love for kosmische and Berlin School electronics with an infatuation with ethnographic sounds and expansive guitar music. In a duo with fellow sonic traveler Thomas Walters, Iverson released missives from the studio on a self-titled LP released on country legend Guthrie Thomas’ Eagle Records. That release featured three electro-acoustic compositions (“Naningo”, “River Fen”, and “Fox Tales”) as well as a gathering of guitar duo tapestries. Many Worlds Interpretation re-imagines those interplanetary works alongside several unreleased compositions that also feature synthesizer, guitar, and percussion, creating a re-visioned album which leans into Iverson’s electronic studio wizardry.

All songs have been carefully transferred from analog tape to high resolution digital, retaining their vintage studio warmth, but mixed and mastered for modern ears and audio systems. The album is pressed at 45rpm, further enhancing the audiophile experience.

Big Science Records presents Leo James’ latest release Féth Fíada, a distillation of the musical ideas James has been developing in his recent work. A collection of hypnotic repetitions, held saxophone notes, synthesiser drones and beautiful chords, the record is full of life and rich in texture. The music is an exploration of disconnection, longing and catharsis, and is both deeply personal and wide open to the listener - emotion hidden in plain sight.  

In recent years James has released records with Patience, Berceuse Heroique, Neubau and his own imprint Body Language. In 2020 he was asked to remix a song from the collaborative project of Ariel Kalma and Gilbert Cohen, released on Versatile Records. In July 2021, James collaborated with renowned Aboriginal artist Daniel Boyd for his solo exhibition 'Treasure Island' at Kukje Gallery, Seoul. Boyd created a 6 minute video work that was projected alongside his paintings. Titled Rivers, the projection was soundtracked by Leo James' track of the same name.

The record will be out on end of November 29t 2021. Limited Edition 100x 12 inches records, distributed by Rubadub, and available as digital on Spotify, iTunes and Deezer soon.

Recently released on Düsseldorf's Candomblé, the Das Wettbüro band from berlin drops a great debut-EP. Made of funny sonic experimentations and groovy weirdo disco enhanced by entertaining rhythms, "Gewinnt Immer" EP (literally 'always winning') also includes this epic piece of dronesque kosmische kraut. You know, under the sun and LSD, everything melt together at the beach. Sweet ice cream and salty, sweaty bodies, eyes lost in the sea or the horizon (isn't it the same after all?), both kind of waves taking control of your mind.

Lavender Palace is a portrait of a process more than a place – the result of a creative headspace San Francisco producer (and Silva Electronics boss) Michael Claus describes as “dropping out of the world and entering a flow state.” That heightened sense of spatial focus, dilated and dialed in, colors the collection in subtle shades of dream house, dub techno, and liquid downtempo.

Recorded before and during the strangest days of peak lockdown, Claus found himself drawn to sci-fi notions of fantastical cities and mythic landscapes, hazy realms in the horizon of the mind’s eye. Further inspired by a new and improved studio arrangement in the city, the sessions unspooled in long, low-slung voyages of texture and pulse, restlessness and reverie, “yearning for a better tomorrow.” It’s music of empty streets and guarded hope, percolating at the precipice of futures too real to recognize.

Two years in the pipeline, with four recording sessions, and here we go. With the one and only magic Jonquera, we are happy to show you this musical project. A mini-LP with 6 songs, as a token of love dropped for the Neue Deutsche Welle and for the fingers that get hurt in the sockets. The mastering is done "in-house", the cover too, on the floor on all fours with pens, felt-tips, photos taken by Louis Waterlot, comrade of the Pays Noir, and the composition of Structure Bâtons. 

The project is called „AnDerMole“ and the album “High Life in Tüten”. So Welcome. “An der Mole” means “On The Jetty”, where you most of the times can get a foretaste of both the storms to come and the wisdom of this fishing golems full of scars.
