Enzo Leep’s latest EP, Concrete Jungle, is an evocative exploration of sound, memory, and raw emotion. Centred around its hypnotic title track, this release melds the gritty energy of house and electro with shimmering echoes of new wave, channelling the unmistakable spirit of pre-ruta Valencia while pushing firmly into uncharted sonic territory. The project is as much a celebration of the pioneers of the past—like the legendary Fran Lenaers—as it is a deeply personal reflection on the evolution of electronic music.

Quentin Gas joins the fold, adding lush, live-influenced instrumentation that gives the EP a cinematic dimension, while Juaan’s remix of Concrete Jungle delivers a dancefloor weapon packed with eerie techno, pulsating house, and sharp-edged electro. His distinct style, now part of the theBasement family, ensures the EP resonates long after the last note fades.

Closing the journey, the EP’s final moments feel like a Sunday dedication—a bittersweet ode to the fleeting happiness that festivals embody, to the collective euphoria of the weekend, and the emotional hangover it leaves in its wake. Concrete Jungle captures both the chaos and catharsis of those experiences, making it not just an EP but a powerful sonic memoir of a time, a place, and a feeling.

A central figure in the Chilean scene, he has established his unique style: a subtle combination of stripped-back grooves, hypnotic textures, and a dub-techno approach that has distinguished him for nearly three decades. It is therefore only natural that JIMI today joins the Fantastic Friends family with his new project: Pretty Things EP. This EP presents itself as a sound exploration between minimal sophistication and organic energy. JIMI confirms that he remains an essential voice in the underground scene, loyal to his heritage while constantly seeking new artistic paths.
