WeTurnToRed (a.k.a. Shamanta Chandran) is a Syrian-born, Tamil-Canadian producer/DJ/singer/songwriter and scientist, based in Toronto. Growing up on the outskirts of the city, she studied and classically trained in opera and jazz as an arts high school kid. Her deep love for electronic music was ignited, after being introduced to the mid-90’s Toronto rave scene by her older brother.

After experimenting in the studio for over a decade, delving into melodic nuances of modular and analog synths, it was clear that growling basslines and haunting melodies were the subjects of her affection. She made her mark in Toronto's electronic music scene through live hardware deep house/techno-focused sets. When Djing she is known as a quality selector of many genres from hip hop, reggae, to house and everything in between. Memorable DJ gigs include opening for legendary artists like Toni Humphries, Waajeed and Dauwd.

Some notable music releases include Planet E Detroit Love-Vol 5 mixed by DJ Holographic, MSTRKRFT’s ORO Records, and Cosmic Resonance (Toronto). Her debut EP, “Smoked Glass” on PITS (Detroit) garnered acclaim, leading to features on “Stamp the Wax” and “Rinse France“to name a few.

WeTurnToRed has an exciting 2022 ahead of her, with forthcoming projects such as a vinyl EP on Cosmic Resonance, releases on Sounds of Berlin (Berlin), plus more to come. As one of the few South Asian women in the electronic modular space, WeTurnToRed is an artist to watch for.

Korea Town Acid is a multidisciplinary electronic artist from South Korea, based in Toronto. Her fearless, genre-fluid sound blends experimental club, hip-hop, breakbeat, jungle, and cinematic textures — always pushing boundaries and reshaping expectations.
She was nominated for Underground Dance Single of the Year at the 2022 JUNO Awards, and contributed production to the Polaris Music Prize-winning album Parallel World by Cadence Weapon.
Her dynamic live sets and eclectic DJ performances have taken her around the globe, with appearances in Seoul, London, Berlin, New York, Athens, Bilbao, Riyadh, Lyon, and across Canada. She has performed at major festivals and institutions including Nuits Sonores, MUTEK Montreal, Pop Montreal, Boiler Room, and TIFF.
An alumna of the 2018 Red Bull Music Academy, Korea Town Acid has been featured on BBC Radio 1’s Benji B and Frank Ocean’s Homer Radio. In 2023, she performed at Louis Vuitton’s first Women’s Pre-Fall show in Seoul, and in 2025, she debuted her new concept album Glow Up with a Live PA showcase at Nuits Sonores (Lyon).
She is also the founder of Groovy Lab Records, an independent label dedicated to weird, wired, and wavy sounds — a home for boundary-pushing, future-facing electronic music.

Esther fell into the rabbit hole of modular synths in 2017. She does live streams of her music in irregular intervals and publishes the recordings if they're not too bad.

Biblioteka Records is a Toronto-based independent record label that was established in an east end apartment in 2017 as a way to self-release a project, but evolved into a way to support instrumental, electronic music. With a focus on digital and limited edition cassette releases, we aim to put out only the best and most unique electronic music while continuing to learn and grow as an artist-run and artist-focused label.
