Friends since childhood, the boys from El Grande have brewed up a sound of blues rock with an attitude of getting it done. The two compadres, Jim (guitar/vox) & Joe (drums/vox), grew up around the corner from each other. Crafting their sound purely from garage tones, angry neighbours and home brewed beer. The duo have captured a unique blend of friendship and raw vibes. The boys released their debut EP ‘Get Done’ back in December 2014. Recorded in Jimmy’s shack.. Following the release of their debut EP ‘Get Done’ and two national tours, their second EP ‘Bobby Blue’ shows a sense of growth and progression forward within the duo, mastering their songwriting craft and fine tuning their garage tones.

With soaring guitars, a stomping bass and catchy-as-hell hooks singing about love heartbreak, partying hard and all the other less-exhilarating life experiences, Auxfire's music will have you tripping balls in an instant. 
The four members of Auxfire were bound to come together, but it took a fair while... The setting was their hometown of Lake Macquarie, where lead singer Joey (JG) Geyer, guitarist Jordan Avellis and drummer Joseph "CEO" van Lier were in the same band at high school. It wasn’t until bassist Jack Clark was realized as the missing ingredient that the four scallywags united as one to create Auxfire. 

What unified and cemented their relationship was their respect for each member’s musicianship as well as being individually hard working musicians. Jack Clark also playing drums in Newcastle garage band Wavevom, and Joey Geyer shredding lead guitar in Newcastle indie pop band, The Treehouse Children.  

JG was awarded the 2015 APRA Youth Songwriter of the Year for his song-writing prowess, crowds fall in love with Auxfire's rhythmic indie rock tunes such as ‘You’ and ‘Katie’ garnering the attention of listeners around the country. 

Gearing up for a huge EP release at the beginning of 2017, “Auxfire” has much more live experience than their age may lead one to believe, Aux have honed their live show to perfection making many new friends on the road playing alongside The Getaway Plan, British India, Loon Lake and The Jungle Giants. 

This new debut EP in July however, titled “Owls”, is a collection of songs that the four-piece have put together over the past 12 months. This work is described by the band as "the last batch to train up our musicality before we start this big artwork/songwriting process for next year..." 

Drawing on experiences throughout life, JG tells stories of his adventures and woes. Reflecting on friendships and relationships, ‘Katie’ tells of the constant game at the beginning of every relationship - until the girl is found to have an already existing lover. Former lead single, ‘You’ is about being lost in the changing phases of life - nearly every aspect of it too. 
One thing for certain is that Auxfire is one young fresh Australian act to definitely keep your eyes and ears peeled for in the very near future!!
