Hello and welcome to my Soundcloud profile. I am a political scientist and writer. I am writing about the experiences of migrants travelling high-risk routes and progress on integration within the European Union. I have also been theorising on the dual nature of (de)securitisation and securitisation, a unique duality that could be the key to unlocking greater possibilities in the development of more balanced policies and supporting new minorities in local communities to strengthen their integration experience.

My research interests broadly include communications and media • comparative politics • international relations • migration studies • minority rights • positive psychology • race, ethnicity, and politics, • security studies.

Currently, I serve as Director of Education and Research at Youth For Excellence Association (YFE). Established in 1990, YFE is a Canadian not-for-profit corporation specialising in educational research and training. In addition to delivering training programs, YFE also supports the development of innovation and scientific research that advances progress and understanding of societal issues related to integration and migration. My role is to develop and support the association's growth in line with its stated activities and objectives, which are part of its strategic vision for 2025-2030. I am also assisting YFE with its continued contribution to academia by developing curricula and implementing effective strategies in training programs that support researchers in realising their objectives. Advancing scholarship in the disciplines of communications and media, educational research, political science, and positive psychology.

I am always enthusiastic about utilising my skills to support colleagues in achieving their own research objectives and enhancing their visibility. I have a core operating philosophy that goes along the lines of, "When you look good, I look good." Another way of phrasing it is that I can achieve everything I want in my professional life if I support enough other people in the pursuit of their goals. If someone seeks my help to make an impact. I'll do my best to assist.

My PhD research focused on the survival strategies of migrants during high-risk migration, which I completed at the School of Government and International Relations, Griffith University, in Brisbane, Australia. My journey in political science began at Capilano University, North Vancouver, Canada.
