Over the past several years, Mazza has propelled his career not only with his searing solo productions, including ‘Only You’ with support from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, but also alongside collaborations with Diego Miranda, Klaas and more! Next up and imminently dropping, ‘TBS (To Be Smashed)’ landing on Generation Smash is set to be an assault on the senses and adding Oriska into the productive mix ensures this is one not to be missed!

Oriska is an essential name hailing from the French electro scene, bringing her dose of attitude and skillful production set to the fore here like no other thanks to huge multi-country #1 ‘Some People’ that blew up all over the continent, aswell as previously being voted ‘Best Female DJ Of The Year’ by NRJ France – an impressive run of attributes to name but only two! As the pairing shatter through the speakers on ‘TBS (To Be Smashed)’, its majestic to hear how the unity of the two acts envelope their styles in one bone-shaking, brilliant release.

Commencing with a militant-style beat that sets the tempo, muted vocal chants creeping up as the synthlines rise and overflow, heavy-handed big-room beats merge with electro elements to create a festival-merited anthem worth its weight in gold. As the MC-style cries of “Everybody knows it, knows it!” booms through atop hand claps and piercing synths that push the melodic tone, the increasing whirrs of reverberating bass all accumulate together to create a mega anthem to blow the speakers into overdrive!

Beatreker, real name Li Yang, is a producer on the rise based in Shangai and Melbourne, merging future rave with melancholic, feel-good vibes that straddles genres leaning into big-room and trance sensibilities, he now returns to Generation Smash after the smash ‘Guerra’, this time with the impressive ‘Soma’!

Entering into the fold with guitar instrumentation that stirs and rouses, deeper fluctuations of synapse-snapping synths and progressive tones envelope the listener into what is next to come; hyper-fixating melodies and weight, bolshy beats that lean into big-room, main stage energy. With audio announcement-style vocals that come in in a spoken-word fashion, barley distinguishable through the haze and distortion, it’s a classy element that is executed well with its experimentation, before the high-intensity kicks back into overdrive.

Sending today's Interbay track to you here on SoundCloud from the Phantom Laboratories West mobile unit, currently in Portland, Oregon.  Always get inspired by the craziest things whenever I'm in Portland (PLW is keepin' it weird!)--for example, the last time I was down here (relative to our home base of Seattle...I started a new project that I gave the name of "Golden Grahams"...that one is still being worked on in the Labs...and I have no idea where that track will end up, or if it will have anything to do with one of my comfort breakfast cereals.)  

Today's track, "Fragmented World" is one part symphonic soundtrack, one part old school drum machines, and one more part European economics forum.  (So, absolutely...keeping it weird.)  The end result is one of the better sounding Interbay tracks--I think I got the balance of all of these seemingly unrelated elements just right to sound perfectly...Interbay.  

I don't imagine that you'll get much useable financial advice from this track, the speakers have been chopped up (wait--that sounds like a slasher movie...they're all, as far as I know, all alive and in one piece) and mixed up for maximum amusement (and probable bafflement.)

Once again, it feels like what Interbay is proving is that dance music can be constructed out of anything...and if it CAN be done, then you can count on Interbay to give it a try.  

As always, I encourage you to give "Fragmented World" a listen--again, I think this is rather good (though I may be showing some bias in saying that.)  I hope you like it and give it a like.
