To round off the month we welcome GINI - After seeing GINI play at Nowadaze 2025 a few months back we were very keen to hear more. 

‘This mix is basically a bit of everything I’ve been loving recently. A lot of the tracks are stuff I’ve pinched from sets this summer at festivals and what not, so feeling so grateful for the experiences, the music and for dancing. 

The mix starts off pretty easy and with some rinsed and repeated numbers, getting heavier as it goes- there’s a few random ones in there as well just to make sure you’re still listening. 

Some off my favourite ID’s in there are frequency Groove (Marina Potion Club), space for crap (acidulant), Dancetrax 2.1 (neutron) and Willy’s Breakbeat (NewTone). Think these go to show I love anything with a heavy bass and some cheeky highs and vocals.

October rolls in with At:las at the helm.

‘I took this photo at @abovebelowfestival 2023, misty and moody in the heart of a small valley. This mix follows in a similar vein, a concoction of dubbed out house and techno, melancholic soundscapes and 303 basslines. Tracks from Jerry Bonham, Furious Frank and Carl Finlow.’

Rolling grooves that slip into darker territory - percussive and acid - driven with shadowy vocals to push things deeper. A mix of old and new favourites, from the likes of Z@P, Sohrab and ISAbella.

Pip returns this month for Discability with a heavy duty and high energy selection. It’s been a while since we’ve had Pip on so it’s only right she brings us into club season.

Guesting for us this week is Ezra with a rolling and clinical mix from the Bristol-based selector.

Ezra - ‘A compilation of my favourite dubby deep and tribal tech house tracks, starting off with the kind of stuff I find myself gravitating towards when mixing by myself at home that I wouldn't necessarily get to play out whilst getting more into the party fodder towards the end. Earthy tones all round.’

‘MacConnell returns this month with another edition of the manifesto. Featuring tracks from Escape Artist, Solar Suite and Aida this mix has a much deeper sound than previous editions perfect for early morning listening.’

Rolling into November with high octane pulsating club pressure.

Tia - ‘It’s been a pretty epic summer and entry into club season, and each track in this mix is a reflection of that. One producer you’ll hear a fair bit of is The Hacker - a chuggy electroclash wizard from Grenoble and my true source of inspiration. 

I also wanted to pay homage to the Cartulis DJ’s / producers (Unai Trotti & Z@p in particular) as well as Bobby, C.RU.Z and Chez de Milo for sending me deep digging into the world of ebm, italo and electro-techno. 

Lastly, the track at 27 mins in (Baby Late by Heartthrob) is dedicated to the ultimate master of her craft, Jane Fitz.

We have a double header of Discability this November for Disability Awareness month, celebrating individuality through music. First off is MARFA bBY.

MARFA bBY - ‘I'm a seasonal mix maker. I wanted the mix to reflect the change in season from a bouncy summer to darker nights, with magical, mysterious tones that shadows create (a lot of echo is used in the mix). But as per, I rarely stick to one flavour during an hour (ADHD brain for you). I still wanted FAST. I love fast music, thats something throughout the year which is a constant for me, so trying to find songs that made things feel slow yet a high BPM is something I love to bring out in my mixes. I've added a lil flair of funky personality to this as I didn't want it to be too heavy throughout because after all, I am pretty high energy!!

How does your disability / neurodivergence help you when Djing or creating and what do you like about it?

I feel a better way to answer this question is to flip it ... how does DJing help with my neurodiversity? DJing made me feel that finding patterns and hearing things that 'weren't' there an absolute gift. My autistic brain struggles with adapting to change; I struggle mostly with the UK seasons. That's when DJ became my friend to soften the anxious and unstill neurodiverse mind of mine. Without finding a hobby that kept me sane over colder months and darker nights, I think I would be a very unwell person. Anything that keeps me afloat - music is the armbands.’
