This version, Postcards in the Rain, feels like a very honest, quiet moment I needed to share. It sits in that sweet spot where a simple Chillhop beat meets a tender, cinematic melody. It’s carried by those catchy, loopy chords and a smoky mezzo vocal that tries to tell a secret in the middle of the night.

The Heart of the Song
This song is just me sitting in the stillness, trying to figure out how to miss someone gracefully. It’s about being stuck in that beautiful, messy place where the world moves on, but you just can't.

Coming through our favourite new London label Absent Mind on August 14th, is ‘Slow Tidings’ a laid back piece that blends the varying styles of production duo Micco x Elias. Bringing together their own unique sounds of RnB, Hip Hop and Downtempo vibes, the track also features the vocal stylings of singer Aria.

‘‘Slow Tidings” is the 4th instalment from Micco x Elias. Elias lays the foundation with his trademark melancholy sound, brooding chords painted with intricate percussive programming and optimistic synthesised melody. Both Aria & Micco grace the instrumental with a nonchalant depiction of lovers’ past, their lyrics giving incite to a relatable internal monologue in the midst of a turbulent relationship.”

Micco & Ellias have quickly distinguished themselves in their short lifespan, incorporating more of their signature live sound into the single. Keep an eye out for what’s next from this rising duo! ‘Slow Tidings’ is the perfect sound to track our current lockdown space and the summer nights ahead.
