Salima Bouaraour-Shadya is a multifaceted figure active in Montreal’s electronic music scene, journalism, and nightlife.

Producer, co-founder of Chez.Kito.Kat Records, and music journalist for a leading magazine, she has also served on various committees dedicated to rethinking and shaping nightlife culture in Montreal.

For a decade, she was active in Europe as a singer-songwriter and performer within an electroclash band.

Her recent release with French producer Shizuka was featured in UNDERSCOPE’s 2024 selection (Paris). She is also a member of the duo Safia Nihil with her longtime collaborator D.B.Y. Together, they recently released their debut EP, which premiered live at Mutek Festival last summer.

She has performed with numerous electro and techno collectives across Montreal’s underground scene and shared her mixes on Kanal Pompidou (Brussels), Radio Flouka (Paris), and Radio Nopal (Mexico City).

Her new EP, Spread Love, revisits the atmospheric drum’n’bass that shaped her youth, blending it with wider influences. Across two tracks, she explores the harmony between soft kicks, deep basslines, ethereal vocals, layered textures, and piano tones — deep, dreamy, and danceable.

A full-scale reinterpretation of an already cutting-edge album. With 'Tech Dreams | The Remixes', Zombie Cats hand the keys of their 2023 LP 'Tech Dreams' over to a curated roster of remixers, Zombie Cats double down with two previously unreleased tracks from the original 'Tech Dreams' sessions, plus their own fresh version of 'Left Nothing'.

What emerges is not simply a remix compilation, but a deep-dive into alternate dimensions of the original sound: reflective, progressive, peak-time. Bringing together the three standout samplers (from Magenta, IYRE & Des McMahon) and a host of fresh perspectives from the scene's best, including Psynchro, Erotic Cafe' & Redemptive.

This album is more than a remix collection. It's a curated journey through one album's universe, reshaped by some of drum & bass's most forward-thinking producers. Whether you loved the original LP or are just discovering the sound, 'Tech Dreams | The Remixes' opens doors - these aren't mere club re-edits; they are reinterpretations that honour the core material while giving it new shape, new depth and new dimension.

GMG - Hot Fun

From the beginning it was important to Brazed to create their own sound. You can hear this clearly in the various productions. The mixture of old school elements, triplet beatz/fills, half-time parts and heavy basslines in connection with a modern neurotic sound is what makes Brazed so special.

The first track "Signal" is a triplet skanker with a lot of oldschool vibe and a heavy bassline highlighted with striking cowbells. "Future"  follows with a more modern / futuristic sound. The distorted vocal bass is very relevant and leads through the track with the vocalsynth.

Both tracks show the spectrum of Brazed, from oldschool vibe to neurofunk.
