Two years have flown by since the seminal Transit One album was dropped to critical acclaim and supported so universally across the board. The up & comers from our last project have since blossomed into today’s key tastemakers, paving the way for a wave of fresh new talent.

With the “Transit” series Dispatch Recordings strives to showcase the most exciting new talents alongside the established label favourites. When faced with such a vast body of music from both previous contributors and newcomers to the label, the project quickly began to take shape and we knew the time was right to bring to you this second chapter.

With a variety of tracks stretching right across the spectrum, the album reaches into a number of alternative vibes and tempos without compromising on the Dispatch quality. From the cool and callous “Apparatus” of Mindmapper & Fre4knc to the colossal beast that is Survival & Silent Witness’ “Paddy”, Transit 2 provides an assortment of technical brilliance over just one album.

Other tracks dip in and out of the dance-floor mould to provide a real contrast and depth to the project, making this complete package such an essential catalogue of future beats. Gamma’s deep & abstract “If U Go Away” takes the album down to a more experimental level and the heavily techno influenced, 4x4 stabs of Sleeper’s “Trojan” switches up the styles.

We are fortunate to have so much great talent presenting incredible productions on such a frequent basis. We're proud to offer a complete picture of the label’s current sound with this album.

Playing a major role on both the ‘Programmed V1.0’ and ‘Programmed V2.0’ EPs, it was only a matter of time before EastColors released a full single with Program. Naturally, he’s stepped up. And he’s done so with two prize-fighting productions.

‘Toys’ is a one-way ticket to the furthest boundaries of the cosmos. Warm pads purr while a frosty arpeggio twinkles and subtle guitar strums shimmer softly in the background. An ageless reminder of how delicate certain elements of D&B can be when conjured in the right hands, ‘Toys’ will instantly arrest your crowd’s imagination. Countering the dreaminess with raw bass drama, the beats and chubby subs ensure full weight and presence. Complete with a modest, memorable vocal refrain, it’s the perfect balance of elements.

‘Creeper’ sets a much darker agenda: Opening with oceanic synth washes, an unrelenting breakbeat looms ominously in the mix. Firing hi-hats take the lead before we’re plunged into a cavernous drop where layers of irresistible bass envelop us. What follows is an industrial strength roller of junglist proportions. Referencing the past to lock fully into the future, this is EastColors at his most chiselled and uncompromising.

Russia’s a hotbed for D&B talent right now, but few of its exports come close to EastColors in terms of creative skills and technical abilities. A crucial contributor to the label since its earliest incarnations: It’s time, once again, to get with the Program!

For me this album truly encapsulates the essence of Critical, a balanced mix of all that’s exciting about this music - heads down lights out rollers, experimental side steps and some slightly more aggressive attention grabbers. It comes with great excitement that we announce a brand new duo to the world with this debut EP release, it's one that we've been relishing over ahead of the pending arrival date for the past few months. We are pleased to reintroduce Survival & Script to the fold, better known via a collective pairing as SCAR.

Mapping out a blueprint of callous creations with hair-raising atmospherics, we are ready to unveil the very first release from the pair, with their conscription being aptly titled the “Call To Arms EP”. Featuring 4 exclusive tracks, each as destructive as the last, each whipping up crowds into a melee, SCAR debut for the Dispatch camp with real intent.

Gaining strong support from tastemakers such as Goldie, DJ Hype & Doc Scott, the response to their music has been overwhelming so far. Introducing their first release on Dispatch, we welcome the trio Kolectiv, Dexta & Mauoq to our Dispatch LTD imprint for “The Roots EP”; presenting a selection of no-nonsense, sub-pulsated tracks in a deftly constructed package.

Comprised of four dark & brooding escapades into the abyss, built largely upon a stripped-back framework, superior levels of space allow for imagination to wonder in the lower frequencies. With each track confidently shying away from the common ‘rules’ of arrangement, we’re constantly kept guessing with each passing corner and without prompts, whether it’s a shuffle into half-time tempo at interludes, or stomping and lashing back in suddenly from an often sparse or cinematic breakdowns.

A finely tuned EP from a group of promising producers, expect to hear more from these guys on Dispatch again soon. Bloodstream is the first track to be aired from this five-track bass explosion which the men behind it describe as “a little bit of everything from both camps”.
