Filth on Acid label head Reinier Zonneveld and hero of the underground has linked up with mainstay DJ/producer Oliver Heldens, more specifically his legendary underground alias HI-LO to explore a darker techno sound. The first fruit of their multiple studio sessions in Amsterdam is the new single 'Saw of Olympus’.

"Over the last few years I’ve become a big fan of Reinier’s productions, his style and his label Filth on Acid, so a few months ago I sent him a couple of new HI-LO ideas that I was working on and he was really into them, so he invited me to his studio to work on some of these together. In the studio we were a really good match, it was very inspiring for the both of us, and I definitely learned a lot from him. We ended up doing multiple studio sessions and we are working on a few different tracks together now which I’m really excited about!
This new track ‘Saw of Olympus’ is the first one that we finished. We called it ‘Saw of Olympus’, because the track has a very distinctive Saw synth, a real “Saw of the Gods”, continuing the Greek god theme of my latest HI-LO releases Athena, Kronos, Zeus and Poseidon. “Since the whole scene is in lockdown and sitting at home, everybody has more time on hand to work on new things. For me this is a great way to explore new collabs that might not be the most obvious ones. Oliver Heldens has been sending me some of his techno works for over a year already - under his alias HI-LO. I really liked what I heard and invited him over to my studio. Turns out he is a great producer and a very fun guy to work with, and we ended up doing regularly very inspiring and productive sessions which resulted in a whole bunch of new tracks that we’re both very happy with! One of these tracks is Saw of Olympus, and i’m really happy to share it with you on my label Filth on Acid NOW!” - Renier Zonneveld
 
Oliver’s HI-LO alias is reserved for his deepest and darkest records, which have taken the techno scene by storm in recent months. Having released a series of tunes inspired by the Greek Gods, which garnered support from the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, UMEK, Amelie Lens, Deadmau5 and Above & Beyond amongst others, two of the songs “Zeus” & “Kronos”, landed in the top 10 of the most supported Techno tracks on 1001tracklists in 2020, which was a contributing factor to Oliver being awarded the coveted spot as the #1 most supported artist platform wide. Also in 2020, Oliver landed in the DJ Mag Top 10 for the third year in a row whilst remaining in the Top-450 most-streamed artists in the world, on Spotify!
 
Techno giant, Reinier Zonneveld is known for his unique live sets, highly respected for his marathon sets. His own imprint Filth On Acid is one of the best-selling and most supported labels in the electronic scene with releases of Carl Cox and many more, the label is claiming the number one spot on and off as the leading techno label on Beatport. One of the best-selling techno producers of the moment, Reinier Zonneveld has taken over the contemporary scene with his unique view on techno. Highly respected for his powerful live performances at key festivals and sold-out clubs on all continents, his vibrant sound is winning him fans far and wide. Reinier also runs the highly acclaimed label Filth On Acid, founded in early 2017. Within only three years, it grew out to be one of the best-selling and most supported labels in electronic music, having the number one spot on and off as the leading techno label on Beatport. After becoming a resident at the legendary Awakenings and Time Warp, he’s taking things a step further this year as he has launched his very own Festival. Live NOW Festival is nothing out of the ordinary; Zonneveld will be the only artist on the bill and will play for a mindblowing 11 hours straight. NAEMS is one of the most widely known carriers of the baton when it comes to this big room techno sound that has taken such a grip on the EDM scene in recent years. The Austrian selector has been impressing with every release and pushing the boundaries of the subgenre, this is no different on ‘Techno Drop’. Paired up with Arkins’ similar expertise, the dynamic duo displays their skillset by creating an acidic, industrial and high-energy big room techno anthem!

Inspired by the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell and Avicii, NAEMS initially began his journey in to the world of EDM producing big room music on the progressive side before eventually moving on to the harder hitting stuff.
