The first sample from Sam Laxton's "Soul Contact Vol. 3" compilation arrives on AVA and we've got some fine slices from the likes of A.L.F, Nucrise and Binary Ensemble. The result of this collaboration is the emotionally charged “Because You’re Here”. Label regular Somna returns to AVA to deliver a stunning remix which packs club flavored elements while retaining the subtle beauties that Betsie Larkin & Andy Moor have created in their original.

On the flipside, White Zoo warps and twists the track into new territories. We had a discussion in the AVA offices and one word that kept popping up was “wacky”. Busting borders with creative uses of wobbles and square leads, White Zoo surprises with his remix and the complexity of his arrangement. This remix encompasses everything that complextro and electro are all about and if you’re after an alternative mix, this is the one for you!

AVA’s 93rd release comes from Miami’s Joseph Areas. Having already stamped his mark with remixes of Andy Moor’s “Fade To Light” as well as Andy’s collaboration with Lange, Joseph makes a single appearance on AVA with a progressive hard hitter entitled ‘Beluga’. Twisting together bass stabs alongside big open chords and a cheeky square lead, ‘Beluga’ is a nice break from overly aggressive music without losing it’s club appeal.
