somyu is a South Korean melodic/progressive house producer and DJ known for his dreamy, piano-forward sound and original compositions. Rooted in traditional Korean music through his time in the Cheonan Student Korean Traditional Orchestra, he transitioned into electronic production with a unique blend of classical sensitivity and digital creativity. His tracks invite listeners into immersive soundscapes where delicate melodies float over deep grooves—crafted with intention, emotion, and atmosphere. Influenced by the textures of melodic house and the drive of progressive rhythms, somyu’s music stands out for its lush harmonies and distinctive, piano-led identity. Each release reflects his commitment to musical storytelling and a sound that is unmistakably his own. Having released on respected labels such as Purified Records, AVA Deep, ClubHaus, and RockRiverRecords, somyu’s work has drawn support from leading artists like Nora En Pure, AVIRA, and Hausman. His music continues to reach global audiences through curated sets and playlists, resonating with those seeking depth and feeling in electronic music. Outside the studio, somyu is actively shaping Korea’s electronic scene by organizing DJ events and showcases that highlight local talent.
