Full of cold and busted equipment meant not much talking this week, instead JR plays some music recorded live from his Time & Space residency at WOM. The show is split into two halves, the first is a mix of lo-fi and deep house, played slow and gentle and the second half is more like the stuff he would play at one of his and Sadeedos Quantum Disco parties. A seasoned member of the Bristol music scene and now London-based, Jay L is a DJ & music obsessive with a deep record collection built over the last 25 years.

Following releases on UK labels Don't Be Afraid & brstl, he now heads up his own Deep Street imprint and series of parties with longtime friend and collaborator, Andy Mac.

Jay has a long standing reputation both as a dedicated DJ able to slay the club, and as a discerning digger. He is known for a particular interest in the rich tapestry of styles and influences that make up real house music and culture. 
Never one to be pigeonholed however, his mixes for the likes of NTS, Boiler Room & Libra Mix and ongoing Noods Radio residency display the broad and eclectic ear of a true music lover.

For this edition of Stan Radio, Jay has turned in an uplifting and soulful selection. Strictly vinyl. Flavours for the end of Summer with a heavy Lovers Rock & Reggae lean that touches on Dub, Digital, Roots and RnB.

"For me this is a personal summer soundtrack, but not just for 2016. This is a choice selection of old, timeless favourite cuts that bring back memories of hot, sunny days and really set the scene. There was only room for a 2 or 3 newer tracks on this one. In the beginning the mood is from a nice summer afternoon, later I imagine that it's getting slowly dark outside, until the sun goes up again (last 2 tracks).
