Avenue Red is back to present more ace underground Russian DJ's, this time a young duo named Volar & S.Aers from the city of Perm, which lies on the banks of the Kama River, close to the Ural Mountains in central Russia. Their hometown of Perm is actually the Easternmost city of Europe.

These guys have been following Avenue Red for some years and have crafted an exclusive 106-minute-long mix of deep, driving, drugged-out house and techno that cruises along steadily at around 124 bpm for the whole duration. Expect to hear all kinds of Terry Lee Brown Jr.-esque deepness blended with turbulent dub techno sounds, forgotten early 00's west coast US house records and other oddball inclusions that gel together in a mix that is truly, fully Avenue Red - embossed with the full suite of hallmarks.

Furtive is a starry-eyed, polychromatic rave conjurer. As a relentless creative tinkerer and underground grand-stander, they have come up in DC’s scene as a prolific, multivariate producer, genre-bending DJ, and underground event organizer. Beyond the bass bins and strobe lights, Furtive is a visual artist and gooey, heartfelt conceptual explorer.

Avenue Red presents a fresh, tasty package of divine deepness from Evening Selection - a duo made of Mateusz Szmigiero and Michał Kramar from the Polish capital city of Warsaw. These guys run an excellent radio show on Radio Kapitał, Warsaw (every 4 weeks on Mondays at 21:00 Warsaw time) and have featured some incredible underground guests including Al Bradley, OHM, Lerosa, Seafoam, Thomas Wood, Andu Simion, Tim Jackiw and Verlake among others. They have their guests rolling the cross-genre phat blunts alongside their own incredible, thoughtfully crafted mixes, having also created some excellent concept shows where the duo take advantage of the full 2 hours themselves. Highly recommended listening, educational, even. Find a flaw in this mix and you may need some help. Deep house & techno perfection, delivered.

"This one's been a long-time coming, as they say... having enjoyed many a mix from Avenue Red's coveted back catalogue we felt like this one has got to be special. Given we dig a fairly wide spectrum of what can be described as 'deep 4/4', it was challenging to keep ourselves focused and squeeze in as many different styles and inspirations into roughly 60-70 minutes... a subconscious tribute of sorts to the mix CD format of yore, perhaps?

What you'll find inside is the fruit of a lot of back-and-forth, heated debates and frantic exchanges regarding what tracks we should go for. We also like to think it's a decent representation of what we're listening to and playing - a bit of dubbed-out soundscapes, a side of breaks, a speck of continental minimal, a hint of the Bristolian vibe, some techy stuff from across the pond, the properly cold sound of 90's techno and last but not least, the deeper shade of house. Thinking about it... you could probably get a much better mix out of all the tracks we rejected (think of all the Drexciyan electro!). Then again, that's a really good reason to record another podcast at some point in the future :-)

Now based in Berlin, his club shows at places like Club der Visionäre have bought in some Avenue Red regulars including the likes of OHM str8 outta Copenhagen, with whom Anthony is fast becoming a strong music release cohort... it's so great to see the true underground deep music heads all coming together! :)
