The constantly evolving electronic dance group based around the lavishly flamboyant DJ and producer Markus Libenau is bursting with hidden surprises. Up to four musicians migrate with their sound through both new and familiar terrain, breaking all rules in the process. Anything which produces noise and has feathers can join the flock: decks, guitar, laptops, controllers, samplers, drums, acoustic and electronic wind instruments and keyboards, live singing. Digital and analog fuse to form an exclusive sound… the sound of The Drunken Birds!! Impossible to take itself seriously, the band isn't about an experimental, self-indulgent artistic representation, but rather aims to reach listeners on an emotional level and sweep them up on warm air currents into the sky. The flight progresses on the humorous side of life… The Drunken Birds stand for electronic beats with a serious groove, from absolute minimal to layered extravagance. The whole spectrum of electronic music comes into play… classic sounds from the past, modern loops of today and the unknown hits of tomorrow. Above all, their music does one thing: it makes its way deep inside, into your heart and your toes, leaving behind an impression which pulses in your head long after the last beat has echoed..

Hailing from Germany’s prolific Rhein-Main area, Frankfurt’s M.in gained his momentum as global player over the last 2-3 years. As producer, DJ, label head and booking agency owner his modern house and techhouse-style clearly owes to the Frankfurt heritage, yet M.in never claimed that promotional tag. He’s sitting firmly in the driver’s seat when it comes to his very own style. You can easily dub his beats trademark, bowing to the craftsmanship M.in has developed and refined with his dozens of releases. 

His artist name playfully quotes the minimalism that ruled for long time in German electronics. In fact, M.ins tracks are far from minimal. The only minimal formulae is his credo demanding “the groove to carry the whole track from the core”. From there on, anything can happen! And M.in is known to churn out tracks that conquer hearts and souls with various ingredients: groove, swing, bite, humour and musicality.  „Every track has to have a vibe first““, he says. Well, easy to sign that partition... yet hard to accomplish the task M.in so easily masters. 

M.in’s tracks flow organic and uplifting. With influences from Afrobeat, Latin or his beloved swinging jazz, teaming up with that straight draw of a mighty lowered kick drum and bass. M.in can pair any sound with his down to earth grooves, showcasing open mindedness, curiosity and the sheer lust to experiment with uncommon sounds.
