@max-bunt aka Fabian is a Swiss native living in the picturesque Zürich area, working amongst other things as a graphic designer and a real underground head and digger. He is no stranger to the Cosmic music fans in Europe, being a regular fixture at Camp Cosmic, has earnt him a name among the heads for his unique mixes of often equally downtempo as well as weird and wonderful mixes that shimmer with greatness and leave listeners wondering what they just listened to, but all in the best of ways. He is a flea market fiend with an open heart and an open mind, searching for music from near and far, driven by curiosity and a longing for finding those goosebumps-inducing records. His taste is always in flux and we hope you will join him on this ride through his discoveries he made along the way. Average Records Mix Series 013 - Max Bunt (Zürich) - Wrong Speed At The Right Time

It will be tough to find a pair capable of generating as much energy as CTW founder Mimi and Warning resident Marie Montexier. First one delivered a strong mix infused with some Big Beat, Newbeat or even Liquid d&b. It sails quite a bit and it's anything but nasty!
Second one has been focused on a set that progressively rises in intensity with techno sounds that are close to acid, breakbeat and progressive.

Since the launch of our website we have been wondering who to ask for the first one in a new series of mixes until one of our absolute favourite DJs in the whole world placed an order in the store. Naturally, we wasted no time and immediately seized the opportunity to ask him for a mix. He was happy to do so and delivered very quickly.

We are excited to present to you this wonderful mix by the legendary digger, DJ and resident at the infamous Potato Head Beach Club in Bali that is DJ Dea. Just how he has managed to remain so fairly unknown for all those years is an absolute mystery to us.

For our second weekly installment during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are happy to present a mix by French legend Sacha Mambo. Class-A DJ and digger for over two decades, Sacha's speciality lies with creating narratives. He is certainly one of those few acts that can keep you on the dance floor for hours and hours on end, drawing you into their vision until the end. Very few DJs today are as experienced and good as Sacha.

Far from "just" a DJ, however, Sacha is also capo at the well received "Macadam Mambo" imprint, with recent contributions by the infamous Pilotwings, Raphael Top Secret and many other staple acts of the French and International underground music scene. 

For 5918mins., el capo presents a selection of infectious oddball obscurities that leaves us thinking maybe we should have asked him for a 6-hour mix. We hope everyone is keeping well!

Sacha Mambo

Hailing from Toronto Canada, Diana McNally aka Automaticamore aka the queen of Italo, comes in strong with an hour of carefully selected killer cuts - the energy bar that we all needed. With hundreds of live-streams flooding our news-feeds and new mix-series starting to come up during these challenging times, we leave it to Diana to finish off our weekly Quarantine series and return to fortnightly publications from now on.

In a way, her persona could not be more fitting, as she is not only an avid vinyl collector, but also works as a social worker at the Toronto Drop-in Network for homeless people. Diana is currently taking vacation days in order to work 12-14 hours on the frontlines of the pandemic, supporting and helping the most vulnerable ones - most of the times without proper protection, literally keeping people from dying. A reminder, perhaps, that even after 4 weeks of quarantine, the pandemic is still very much real. There are still people dying and in order to support frontline-workers like Diana or the fantastic National-Healthcare staff all over Europe, we must drink and dance to Italo-Disco *inside* our homes.
