Chamber and Orchestral Music

A short waltz I've had the opportunity to record with the wonderful Budapest Orchestra.
Based on a short scene, on a rooftop in NYC.

A composition I wrote inspired by a short script I've taken the liberty to expand it a bit.

It's an early morning, with haze and mountains in the background in our suburban neighborhood at a small town in Iceland, as the spring about to begin.
Inside the house, a 47 year old woman, walks in her living room, coffee and phone on her hands, still pretty sleepy.
She walks into the kitchen, a bit shaken, she notices a note on top of the chair where she’s about to sit.
It is a small, wrinkly piece of paper, she grabs it, sits and begins reading it.
On the note there are 4 names, and ages, and her relation to them.
                  husband <3 - 49
                  son - 20
                  daughter - 16 
                  Dog - 6
It's been a her memory is fading sooner than she ever expected.
There are other bunch of wrinkly "post-it" in her big purse, on the counter, next to the fruits.
A small tear and a sniff appears, but she is hearing from afar someone approaching.
Her family doesn't know yet of her memory loss.
Her daughter walks in the house, the mother tries to hide her sadness, shame, and sorrow.
When suddenly a phone rings. possibly her doctor?

Spencer - Memories scene - run, dance

This is a string quartet is about our quiet days, when we have our time for ourselves and sometimes, other things might be getting in our way, other thoughts, tasks, and the mind keeps wandering. 
I was lucky enough to record with amazing musicians, and with the help of wonderful people.

String Quartet - Spies Aviram

I'm very excited to finally share with you my final project I wrote in my Master’s degree in Berklee.
This piece is an adaptation of a short story by the Israeli Author - Etgar Keret, from his latest book "Fly Already".
It was an incredible and fascinating journey, exploring the story in depth, and challenging myself musically and narratively.
