 For many years I've been playing, writing and producing music in many different styles: Jazz, Latin jazz, Funky, Fusion, Ballads, vocal and instrumental combining acoustic and electronic music and music that is very personal and less defined stylistically. I also play and on a few occasions conduct classical music and compose classical music for orchestras and chamber music. 
Furthermore I play middle eastern – Arabic and Jewish music (with micro tones). 
All the above I usually do in collaboration with my brother Rami Alster (composer, arranger, saxophone player, conductor, and teacher).
Quoting an interview from a website writing an article about us:
"After years of playing together it seems that a unique sound is emerging, especially because of our strong connection to wind instruments and the variety of music we are influenced by. Our style moves from the familiar to the more complex and experimental pieces, while still maintaining our uniqueness in the more 'familiar' pieces." 
Since 1999 we have founded many combos, some of them standard and some more unusual such as a horn sextet with drums or ensembles using middle eastern instruments such as oud and middle eastern percussion. 
Recently we have finished our Latin Jazz disc. The disc consists of pieces influenced by different Latin styles: Brazilian (Bossa Nova, Samba, Capoeira) Afro-Cuban (Mambo, Cha-Cha-Cha) and more abstract modern Latin Jazz. Each piece has a different story, its own sound, and yet, there is also, an overall sound to the whole disc, a distinct fingerprint to the whole project.

I also write lyrics for some of our vocal pieces usually collaborating with my brother Gall Alster. 

A bit about my music education:
I studied 3 years in the Tel Aviv music academy (classical music) and a year in the jazz department at WPSU in New-Jersey directed by the known bass player Rufus Reid and saxophone player David Demsey.
