This set of remixes provides an intriguing companion to Fleck E.S.C.'s 'Responsible Grown Up' EP,
released on Woodwork in May. The four inventive producers enlisted for this project went to task recontextualizing the original parts, each crafting a personal shout out the original EP.

ADJ's powerhouse take on 'Substitute Placebo' enhances the bubbling, freakish qualities of the track
while adding some signature muscle and swagger and a subtle dark rave essence.

Kim Cosmik ups the ante with a tidy smackdown version of 'Grassland'. Kim's version brings a hefty
sub and a bouncy break into the arrangement while the main parts remain intact but slanted with a
cracking new style and urgency.

UnSonore, a childhood friend and close acquaintance of Fleck E.S.C., stretches boldly into the outfit
of 'Responsible Grown Up'. A wandering abstract progression slowly twists into a retro synth pop jam
sounding a lot like it could be an instrumental of Duran Duran or Tubeway Army.

Pablo Splice then sticks the landing with a dizzying spin on 'That's It', blending melodic phrases of the
original version into a droning, disoriented tech-noir tribute.

CYRK is a live show and studio duo born from the visions of two Berlin-based producers, Samy Goossens and Pascal Hetzel. Dalmata Daniel presents the sixth instalment of their DDS split series, manifesting a relentless torrent of raw, bumping beats and electric thunderbolts: Kraków-based Olivia brings her otherworldly sequences and hazy reverberations, while hailing from Tel Aviv, Rapha delivers acidic treatments and sinister, menacing tones of a dark, untold future.

Side A opens up with ’Freak’, where Olivia’s swirling synth arpeggios quickly aim to enchant all listeners, tangling up their brainwaves with several layers of wicked, throbbing beats. Continuing her witching hour, ‘Odejdź’ introduces off-kilter pulses, cries and whispers in a dungeon, where no one can find the exit. Echoes tremble and screams get distorted in the dark, moist and uncanny aisles of these non-Euclidean spaces. Hyperbolic and demonic, hypnotic and manic: ‘Odejdź’ puts ashes in our eyes and takes us to places we never thought were possible in this bleak realm of our world.

Flip the record, drop the needle and let side B commence: Rapha opens up with ‘Aggressive Disorder’, a hip hop-infused marching beat with cosmic howls and blasting basslines. Next up, as a gargantuan machinery of steam-fueled engines, ‘Bomber Jacket’ takes a confident, industrial maneuver at demonstrating nasty, scattered pieces of percussive grit, simmering its way to a textured and refined amalgam of rough and frantic pulsations.
