As the vocals of Gotsome's Bassline are about a bassline (o rly?), we knew we had to come up with a fat one! When we played the first demo of our remix we saw the people's reaction to these very catchy vocals, but our bassline just didn't deliver. So it was basically a lot of tweaking and road testing till we had the impact right and had a good reaction from the crowd. So this is a good example how DJing and studiowork go hand in hand.

Daylight Robbery Records is excited to welcome back Rishi K. with his Ivory Tower EP.   After previously remixing Physh on DRR002 Rishi K. brings his sound once again to DRR. Releases on labels such as DeepClass Records,  UM Records and Seta Label to name but a few have allowed Rishi K. to maintain an eclectic sound that reaches out and touches on a huge array of influences. Ivory Tower takes the listener to a sun kissed paradise. The soft keys and subtle funk flow through to create a mellow and euphoric melody that touches on the cosmic. 

Vanilla Ace has been creating a bigger stir than the turtle rap with his sound coming out on a number of imprints including Nurvous, King Street Sounds & Monotonik Records. He leads Ivory Tower slightly off the beaten track to give the tune a shift in direction towards to the late night. 

Releasing between them on a number of labels including Lou Lou Records, Bunny Tiger, Future Allianz Records & Sleazy Deep, it’s exciting to see Jean Bacarreza & Afrobeat team up on this remix. Together they take the sound to a darker place and pick up the pace, a track that moves with a relentless groove.
 
Dave Nash has been showcasing his sound on labels such as Love Not Money, Street King and Funkpony Records. A taste of acid entices before breaking down into a track intended for the darkest hours of the night

Luc Vel Mzura has spread his sound on labels such as White Widow Records and Underground Source. He takes Ivory Tower and creates a sub-kissed melodic dream that puts smiles on faces and arms in the air.

When I make music I always aim for a sleazy, rhythmic and ass-shaking feel, but right now I am refreshing my sound. I think this EP sounds more slick at the moment, more stripped back. It's deeper and sexier”.

After 8 months they are again here, presenting their new Ep called: Rules Of A Dancefloor, including a big remix from our Jey Kurmis! 
3 tracks plus the great remix of Kurmis, that show us that they studied really well every single rule of a dance floor! 
“It’s All Feelings” opens the Ep! Super tech house track, as they know how to do it. Perfect track to start the follow up of “For The Freaks” Ep. Happy vibes, characterized by a great sub bass line shaking your ass. The synth that remains easy in our memories, accompanies the evolution of the track, all flavored by a nice deep male voice.
Second track it's 'Just Say It'. Again techy rhythm with a special female voice! Cool melody on the breakdown, and when it starts...HANDS IN THE AIR.
Last original track is the one that take the name from the Ep. Here the great duo, experiment more on their style, goingo on harder grooves, close to techno style. Super classical 909 hihat arrangement, with a huge kick, with a special bass line with this cool square wave, that give a warm touch, bringing you in very beautifull trip! EXCUSEE MEE! 
Last track is from the huge talent Jey Kurmis! He's working really well in these months, confirming his big talent releasing again on Hot Creations, with an Ep that went direclty on the first positions of every music web portals! Super 'Kurmis style' on this track. We can feel his hands on it! Another rule of the dancefloor, confirmed and destroyed.

The release schedule was simply closed and we had no intention of squeezing more releases into early 2013, but when we heard this fantastic 2-tracker from ReKreation we simply had to over-rule the decision.

ReKreation are originally from Manchester (UK) but are now based and in the sparkling house-infused environment of Leeds (UK) and you can easily hear the uk garage inspiration at the root of their sound.
Hypnotic grooves and simple vocal hooks leads the way on this housey number. For us it was love from first listen and by now the tracks have grown into our hearts.

The remixes comes from Swizz wonderboy Dj Le Roi (Get Physical, Katchuli, 1Trax) who turns “Control” deep and bouncy with London based Leftwing & Kody (Off Recordings, Alive) giving “Before Me” a more in your face deep house remix.

We here at No Brainer headquarters are pretty sure this will change after the opening track of Headz Up's debut EP 'Talk Talk' hits the floors of the world. This dramatic piece of rhythmically superior techno is just too good to not name your newborn after it.

Mason (Animal Language) straightens 'Onoria' out, turning it into relentlessly driving car. Actually, 'Onoria' might be a better car name than a girl's name. No doubt it's a good track name.

'Talk Talk' is an even better track name if you ask me and it fits great with the triplet-tainted vocoder track, which is why the EP is named 'Talk Talk EP'. You can almost sing along to the track while you headbang to it.

Borussia (Top Billin) makes 'Talk Talk' into a kickdrum-obsessed techno anthem. This pretty much defines what No Brainer Records is all about: very stupid intelligent music for very intelligent stupid people.

Another great name for another great track is 'Pluvia', which means rain in Latin. Think synthetic raindrops recorded, looped and then scratched into a haunting rhythm. Tribal techno funk for acid Headz Up … just to drop that name again.
