The notorious Madrid-based talent Miguel Lobo joins Likeminded with an amazing 3tracker filled with furious grooves. Starting with 'Jenette', ep brings in some vintage vibes. French sample from the '60s dives you into a magical atmosphere and, at the same time, the track maintains high energy pressure, in that sense, not yielding the further tracks in this pack. Echoing the main track, on the stage comes 'D.N.C' with very strange percussive elements, fat lows and mesmerizing chord-work, that truly can't disappoint. 'Back In Rewind' completes the ep bringing in an intense percussive rhythm making you immediately move.Continuing, the track fills in with a vibrant bassline and sweet deep chords mixed with atmospherical pads, perfectly complementing that superb beat.

Strut return to the archives of seminal Chicago house label Dance Mania in January for ‘Dance Mania: Ghetto Madness’. The follow-up to Strut’s acclaimed Dance Mania label retrospective ‘Hardcore Traxx’ from early 2014, this new installment places the spotlight on the raw, stripped back, hyper BPMs of ghetto house and the rise of the movement’s fresh generation of stars during the mid-‘90s including DJ Deeon, DJ Funk, Jammin’ Gerald and DJ Milton.

After just over a year of strictly remixes, Egbert returns with his first EP after his critically acclaimed album ‘Warm’. ‘Shake’ is a dancefloor EP with three unforgivingly powerful originals.

The release date, Jan 16th, also sees Egbert performing a 6 hour live set together with Secret Cinema @ Melkweg, AMsterdam.

2014 Was a year with many highs for Egbert. With a whopping 4 gigs at Awakenings including both days of the festival, rocking the Cave at Timewarp NL before Sven Väth, Electric Brixton in London, Flex Club Vienna, Sziget Festival and loads more amazing gigs with thousands of people going mental to his live act. 

For 2015 there are a string of strong EP’s lined up kicking off with ‘Shake’ on Gem Records. As Egbert spends most of his time playing live sets with 100% Egbert tracks around the globe, he knows exactly which ones pack the most punch. Label boss Secret Cinema who plays epic sets together with Egbert regularly, sat down and selected three of those tracks for this EP.

The record kicks off with ‘Dik Geluid’ which translates into ‘phat sound’. A stripped down repetitive  techno bomb with a hard kick and a throbbing bass effect as its main elements accompanied by spacey noises and lo-fi vocal samples that funk and echo over the top. Next up is ‘Shake’ which revolves around a bassline on every 16th note triplet that swings over the beat in a way that gives the track loads of energy and danceability. Filters are opened and decays lengthened until the bassline growls and roars with energy building up and up.   Finally there is ‘Korrelig’ which is probably one of the darkest tracks from Egbert’s sets. With scary horror movie vocals, huge delays, and a main noise that sounds evil to its core this is one bad-ass cut…

﻿Santé’s irrepressible AVOTRE label continues to serve up the dance floor heat, this time in the form of a new EP from Eskuche & NuSky. Boosting the tidy original is a remix from Moon Harbour man Philip Bader. 

Eskuche is a New York City house and techno DJ who marries modern melodies and compelling grooves together into hot tracks that have seen him guest on Rinse FM as well as releasing on Audio Rehab and remixing on VIVa. His partner here is NuSky, a fellow American with credits for his creamy sounds on labels including Hot Creations and VIVa Music. 

The track they serve up is ‘Enjoy,’ a bulky, meaty house track with fat rubbery kicks, groaning, indecipherable vocals from Joyse, clever use of filters and a grinding bassline. It’s the sort of sweat induing cut that has people fist pumping and hip bumping and is a masterclass in teasing and restraint for the way it constant bubbles and boils. A shorter radio edit and main mix is also included. 

Then comes the remix from Philip Bader, a long time German tech house producer who never fails to nail a sloppy, infectious groove. His version of the track is just that - fat bottomed, rolling and layered with dry hi hats and tribalistic drums. Darkened vocals add another element of intrigue and the resulting cut is sure to be massive this summer.
