Soul Clap's training goes beyond history lessons to mastering all the elements of the DJ: knowledge, mixing, programming, performance and experience.

As the Boston bred international ambassadors of all things funky, Soul Clap have built a cult following worldwide both through their solo endeavors and via their Crew Love brand formed with Brooklyn’s Wolf+Lamb. Musically, the duo blasted into space with a series of game changing edits (including the summer 2010 anthem Extravaganza), originals (Action/Satisfaction & Lonely C) and remixes for Laid Back, Metronomy, Little Dragon, Robert Owens, DJ Harvey and more.

Back in March, Soul Clap curated the 3rd edition of Brooklyn's Bastard Jazz Recordings producer-driven compilation series "Tempo Dreams", showcasing new styles, emerging artists and the best of their beatmaking peers, in a dynamic LP of unreleased modern funk, electro soul, and leftfield house music. Flash forward to December, and the boys are set to release commissioned remixes for three of the most breakout tunes on the album.

Today, we premiere the club mix of Soul Clap's very own offering to the compilation, 'So Sedated'. With the original mix being a chugging, synth heavy ode to the transformational powers of the dancefloor featuring druggy, understated vocals by Dayonne Rollins, its club mix is a pure, foot stomping jam.

Jordon Saxton aka Viers or Unklone, created the LK alias back in 2013, to allow him to release his soulful and jazz orientated productions.

In 2014, he released an incredible four track EP on Cottam’s notorious Ruff Draft imprint, which helped to pave the way for his new project. He also remixed an early track by Church label boss Seb Wildblood respectively.

Now, the Leeds based producer provides the second release for vinyl only imprint, Shall Not Fade, with his analogue, Detroit-esque “Keion” EP. “Keion” EP is LK’s third full 12” and presents some of his most innovative productions to date, on of which, 'Oh You Sexy Thang' is today's exclusive premiere

Erste Male haben wir uns an Battles gesehen, an denen wir gegeneinander getanzt haben. Zu Beginn war das auch etwas feindselig, Hipho Style halt. Erst später dann haben wir uns ein bisschen gefunden durch die Musik, weil wir alle die gleiche Musik fühlen und den gleichen Film am laufen haben. Mit der Zeit haben wir auch viele Parties erlebt. Die Jungs waren auch schon bei mir in Österreich am feiern, am durchdrehen, am DJen und Party machen. Yes, we have already experienced a lot together. We mainly got to know each other in the BBoy scene, the hip-hop culture. We saw each other for the first time at battles where we danced against each other. In the beginning it was a bit hostile, just hipho style you know. Later we found each other a bit through the music, because we all feel the same music and have the same film on. Over time we have also experienced many parties. The boys were already partying, going crazy, DJing and partying with me in Austria.
