
টোमोইকু মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়ের পরীক্ষার হলটি ছিল স্বাভাবিকের তুলনায় কিছুটা ভিন্ন উত্তেজনায় ভরা। আশ্চর্যের কিছু নেই—এই বিদ্যালয়ে ছাত্ররা জোড়ায় পরীক্ষা দেয়, এবং তাদের উত্তীর্ণ বা অকৃতকার্য হওয়া একসাথে ভাগাভাগি হয়। এই অনন্য পদ্ধতি পরীক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে আগের চেয়ে আরও শক্তিশালী বন্ধন ও চাপ সৃষ্টি করেছিল।

তাদের মধ্যে এক জোড়া যমজ বিশেষ মনোযোগ আকর্ষণ করেছিল। হারুতো এবং কানন শারীরিক গঠনে একরকম হলেও তাদের অভিব্যক্তি ও পরিবেশ সম্পূর্ণ বিপরীত ছিল।

হারুতো আত্মবিশ্বাসী হাসি নিয়ে হাত গুটিয়ে বলল:
“জোড়া পরীক্ষা? আমাদের জন্য এটা সহজ। তুমি যদি ভুল করো, আমি সেটা সামলে নেব।”

কানন উদ্বিগ্নভাবে ভ্রু কুঁচকে ডেস্কের দিকে তাকিয়ে ফিসফিস করে বলল:
“…যদি আমি তোমাকে নিচে টেনে আনি? তুমি-ও তো নিখুঁত নও, হারুতো।”

তাদের কথোপকথন শুনে তত্ত্বাবধায়ক শিক্ষক হাসলেন।
“যমজ হওয়া মানেই সবসময় নিখুঁতভাবে মিল থাকা নয়। আসল বিষয় হলো একে অপরের প্রতি বিশ্বাস।”

পরীক্ষা শুরু হলো। বিষয় ছিল জোড়া-আলোচনা সমস্যা: দুজনকে একসাথে কথা বলে প্রদত্ত কাজের উত্তর বের করতে হবে। কাজটি ছিল: “যদি তোমরা একটি নতুন খেলার মাঠ তৈরি করতে, তবে কোন ধারণাটি সবচেয়ে ভালো হবে?”

হারুতো উৎসাহের সাথে শুরু করল:
“একটি খেলাধুলার এলাকা দারুণ হবে! আমি একটি বাস্কেটবল কোর্ট বানাতে চাই যেখানে সবাই খেলতে পারবে।”

কানন কিছুক্ষণ দ্বিধা করে তারপর দৃঢ়তার সাথে বলল:
“কিন্তু ছোট বাচ্চারা বা যারা খেলাধুলায় ভালো নয় তাদেরও তো জায়গা দরকার, তাই না? আঁকা বা বই পড়ার জন্য একটি কোণ থাকলে ভালো হবে…”

“ওটা খুব সাধারণ শোনাচ্ছে! এটা তো খেলার মাঠ!” হারুতো উচ্চস্বরে বলল।

“…তাহলে চল একসাথে ভাবি। এমন একটি খেলার মাঠ যেখানে তুমি সক্রিয় থাকতে পারবে, আবার শান্তভাবে সময় কাটাতেও পারবে—আমরা সেটা কীভাবে ডিজাইন করতে পারি?” কাননের কণ্ঠ ছিল গম্ভীর।

হারুতো কিছুক্ষণ চুপ করে থেকে তারপর বিড়বিড় করে বলল:
“জানো… এমন জায়গা ভালো হতে পারে। আমিও হয়তো মাঝে মাঝে সেখানে যেতাম।”

যমজরা শেষ মুহূর্ত পর্যন্ত বিতর্ক করল এবং অবশেষে এই প্রস্তাবটি উপস্থাপন করল:
“‘গতি ও স্থিতির খেলার মাঠ’—একটি জায়গা যেখানে তুমি সরঞ্জাম ও কোর্ট দিয়ে শরীর নাড়াতে পারবে, আরেকটি এলাকায় শিল্প ও সঙ্গীত উপভোগ করতে পারবে। স্বচ্ছ দেয়াল এলাকাগুলো আলাদা করে, যাতে তোমরা একে অপরকে দেখতে পারো এবং নতুন আগ্রহ আবিষ্কার করতে পারো।”

পরীক্ষার পর হারুতো শান্তভাবে কাননকে বলল:
“তোমার ধারণা আসলে এতটা খারাপ ছিল না।”

কানন হাসি দিয়ে উত্তর দিল:
“আমি যা বলতে চেয়েছিলাম তা বলতে পেরেছি কারণ তুমি আমার সাথে ছিলে।”

ফলাফল ঘোষণার দিনে তারা একসাথে খাম খুলল। ভেতরে লেখা ছিল “উত্তীর্ণ।”

“আমরা সত্যিই সবচেয়ে শক্তিশালী জুটি!” হারুতো হেসে বলল।
কানন কোমল হাসি দিয়ে মাথা নাড়ল।
“হ্যাঁ, এখন থেকে সবসময়।”

The Avyss Diaries Chapter 1

pol100 ‘Sepsis EP'

pol100 is an alias used by Italian producer Paolo Maiarelli. Maiarelli is originally from Ferrara, a small city located in the north of Italy. Inspired by the likes of Arca, Rabit and Lee Gamble among others, it has been four years since he started to create music under the pol100 moniker. During this period he developed, what he calls, a more personal sound that can be heard on his previous releases ‘ANOTHER FINE DAY’ and ‘PLAGUE EP’ released on respectively Elastica Records and Du Couer Records. His latest work ‘Sepsis EP’ will be released on Bound Centre and introduces us to a new chapter in Maiarelli’s work. The complex mix between Ambient-like audio engineering and break/bass heavy electronica is conceived from his research into the idea of sound over structure and is based on the four symptoms of septic shock. On basis of these four symptoms Maiarelli created a listening experience that transcends conventional forms of arrangement and sound design and forces the listener to take a deep dive into the concept and physical consequences of the disease.

We’re truly happy to open the new year with another addition to our UNITED series, which for each EP in the series, one member of the GUN community collaborates freely with other producers and artists of their choice.

For the second piece in the series, multi-faceted producer and Biodiversità Records founder P I T brings together three up and rising talents : ASJ, myen and migu, whose activities of the past few years consistently kept pushing the boundaries of the electronic soundscape.

Biotic Network is a breeding experiment, a virtual field research that started with an open call to the GUN community to share data such as images, texts or sounds. These gathered multimedia specimens - an aggregation of personal experiences with nature, served as a substrate for the growth of a new life form inspired by mycorrhizal networks and internet archives.

From the moist synthetic echoes of Fungi on My Face.mkv to the interweaved chaos of Sculpting Mycelium.mkv and the encompassing symbiosis of Aggregate.mkv, Biotic Network transcends classifications and carefully crossbreeds counter-balancing sound species. 
The resulting EP is an interconnected web of sounds and imagery, providing us with a fertile ground for future generations of sonic ecosystems.
