ATLANT stays at home for ATL015 as Paris born Acumen teams up with Remcord, who returns to the label following a resplendent remix of Flowers and Sea Creatures’ summer smash ‘Color The Rain’. Majestic lead track ‘Youth Identity’ has a real sense of inertia driven by jarring whirring lines and rasping percussion, as harmonies develop with Acumen & Remcord drawing you deep into an ocean of the purest analogue synths. The dynamics are further enhanced by subtle atmospheric crashes and a persistent compelling groove that leaves you wanting more.
If ‘Youth Identity’ leaves you dazed with it’s 4/4 jab, then ‘The Human Poison’ really does the deliver the knockout blow. Propelled by a powerful bassline, the chopped up fx bathed vocal sample and deep dark echoed chord stabs hit all the right club notes. This track has become a firm favourite of our label boss. The third in a series of album releases is set to land later in 2018. Named ‘Brune’ after his youngest daughter this will once again showcase his versatility in the studio.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint continues its 2018 journey by welcoming George X to the label for his debut single. The Greek artist has a meticulous discography highlighted by appearances on Dream Culture, Get Weird and Magician On Duty where his unique take on deep house has found favor with John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, and Nick Warren. Now stepping up for his first appearance on Sound Avenue George presents his latest single 'Nahuati' alongside remixes from Cosmic Cowboys and PHCK.

The release concludes with PHCK. Founded by Paul Hoffer and Chris Kusterer, PHCK operated as a duo until 2017 before eventually adding the musical talents of Stefan Kling into the group. Releases on All Day I Dream and Connaisseur highlights the trio's discography and with an ever-growing synergy, PHCK now returns on Sound Avenue. 

Clocking in at a wondrous eight minutes it’s a free-flowing journey of deep emotive house. Delicate strums combined with spiritual vocals adorn the laid-back groove while timely atmospheric shifts and energy bridges make for many magic moments along the way. Effortless in delivery it sits as a wondrous stand-alone piece as well as a perfect complement to the brilliant original. We are pleased to present Wagner as a new member of the Uxoa Dutxa Elite family with his debut release titled and dedicated to Osiris the God of Resurection, this EP contains 3 original tracks with ethereal melodies taken from the deepest underworld.

Osiris begins in a majestic way with a great synthesizer giving entrance to the kick drum with a great blow, a hypnotic arpeggio in the background and percussions are including to the theme without forgetting the main lead that enhances its authority in the break turning to a mysterious and energetic track.

Depth of Field, is a quieter theme but with the same intensity, where the melodies of the background are more pure and melancholy, small riffs are incorporated creating a sublime sound set transmitting the perspective of the void and the absoluteness at the same time, simply music with soul.

Dyspo, is the last track but the most explosive, the arpeggio sequence arises from the beginning and with the percussive elements conceive a hypnotic and contagious groove, then a small riff that emerges from the darkness become essential at every step of the theme and in conjunction with the powerful bassline give a sense that all sounds create a monster that is destroying the universe with each hit of the drum, a track that will be equally essential and dispensable to destroy the dance floor.

The first LP release on newly formed live electronic label Awesome Soundwave comes from sound artist and producer Christopher Coe.

MNTNS of SLNC is Christopher Coe’s first release under his own name and is a techno driven, atmospheric and deeply authentic work inspired by the mountainous landscape of his home lands in the remote west of Ireland.

Coe says:
"This is my next album and live project: "Mountains of Silence" and it will be a musical and visual piece.
It is based upon and inspired by the landscapes around my home in Co. Mayo, Ireland; the mountains, the mist and the drama of it ..

When I look at these mountainous landscapes, I see layers of sound, I see waveforms and musical arrangements, I see texture, tension and musical dynamics, and I feel a deep resonance on an emotional and spiritual level.

I realised that, for me, this is what deep majestic, dark and atmospheric techno would look like! And so I felt this compulsion to go home and work on making a techno album based upon these ideas and this vision.

I have climbed the mountains and captured these landscapes on film and in collaboration with West of Ireland based film maker Paul Meehan and Amsterdam based animator Roy Gerritson of Boompje we have created an evocative and beautiful film that goes with the music. This film will be controlled and triggered live along with the music during the live performance of MNTNS OF SLNC.

I have used location recordings of mountain side funerals in sheeting rain, captured the gurgling of mountain streams and recorded Irish traditional instruments in a traditional setting to create new tones from these sounds and resonant instruments that I have blended into the deep, resonant and rumbling soundtrack for the mountains. “

The album comprises 8 tracks and was produced in a houseboat in Amsterdam, an ancient stable house in the west of Ireland, a coastal studio property on the west coast of Ireland and a remote lakeside studio in Sweden.

MNTNS of SLNC is to be performed live as an audio-visual show.

Having previously featured on Eskimo Recordings' 2018 compilation 'The Purple Collection’ as one half of Languages, Franz Matthews returns to the label alongside fellow Berliners Local Suicide with 'Meditation / Tutan Jamon', 2 tracks of heady disco that join the dots between the German capital and the sun soaked souks of North Africa.

Despite living on the same street for 4 years Franz Matthews and Brax Moody and Vamparela from Local Suicide only met recently through their common friend Sam Berdah (Days of Being Wild, Club Bizarre). Making up for lost time, the trio soon found themselves bonding in the studio, digging into their love of both the esoteric and travelling, and together channelled those passions into 2 spiritually infused numbers.
 
'Meditation'was the first result of this inspired partnership, appropriately recorded at the same time that Matthews was also recording music for a meditation app, and features a freeform stream of consciousness from Vamparela over a suitably hypnotic backing of wistful guitars and breezy rhythms. 'Tutan Jamon' meanwhile shares its DNA with recent Eskimo releases by the likes of Simple Symmetry and SHMLSS, the track built around a couple of very Egyptian influenced riffs and comes in two distinct versions.
 
Between his production studio MOWD, his duo Languages, and his solo electronic project, Franz Matthews keeps himself busy. Making Berlin his hometown for the past 5 years, the Franco-German producer and DJ has always kept one hand in the Indie Dance world, while the other wanders in more Psychedelic Pop realms, a winning combination that's seen him release music on imprints such as Eskimo Recordings, Days of Being Wild, Rockets & Ponies.
 
Local Suicide, aka DJs and producers Brax Moody and Vamparela, meanwhile have made a name for themselves putting on some of the most infamous underground parties Berlin has to offer, running their acclaimed blog and still finding time to make waves with their productions, a wild fusion of new wave, acid, slow techno and post-disco that has seen them work with the likes of Rodion, Mijo and Curses in recent years.

We here at Discobelle got the scoop on the exclusive premiere of track "Magia" taken from the upcoming @localsuicide And @cursesforever EP, which will be out tomorrow Friday March 22nd (500 hand stamped 12" vinyl only) via UK label @justtusk.

Tusk Wax 28 is a collaboration between NYC born, Berlin-based artist Curses and the otherworldly "techno-disco" Greek-German outfit Local Suicide. The pairing seems like a match made in heaven, especially seeing as both artists are known for exploring the darker side of dance music.

"Magia" kicks off the release and it's a steadfast and seductive piece of slo-mo disco with spaced out synths and eerie vocals that wouldn't be out of place in an 80's horror movie.

After Micheal Klein’s stunning debut album ‘Snapshot’, it's only logical we celebrate the long player once again with four stellar remixes from a handful of Techno’s best.

Kicking things off is the one and only Dubfire who delivers a rework of ‘Dismantled Structure' unlike anything we’ve heard from him before as he channels the aesthetics of quintessential Dub stylings reminiscent of Deepchord and Echospace fused with a cutting edge, modern approach resulting in an absolute burner that will stand any test of time. Markus Suckut follows with his unique approach on ‘Dirty Daddy’ where heaviness reigns supreme as hefty percussion, hypnotic rhythms and swirling atmospherics culminate into a far flung journey into the vast expanse. Taking a slightly different approach yet never losing the energy, Developer dives further into ethereal spaces with his re-imagining of ‘Flashes In Your Eyes’ where he weaves psychedelic harmonies and mesmerizing grooves into a trance inducing roller perfect for intensely deeper moments. Finalizing the remix package we turn to +plattform, one of Norway’s best Techno artists, who delivers an absolutely gorgeous rendition of ‘So Far To Go’ where abrasive drums and washes of reverb lay the groundwork for a cut where emotion takes center stage creating a beautifully crafted tune that will in equal measure melt hearts and forge unforgettable memories.
