Gentle Waves

Depresión Post-Mortem es una banda chilena de post-punk fundada en Santiago en 2021, como evolución del proyecto Post-Mortem iniciado en 2015. Esta nueva etapa consolida una identidad artística marcada por la melancolía urbana, la introspección emocional y una estética sonora profundamente ligada a la experiencia contemporánea latinoamericana.

En 2021 la banda publica sencillos que se convierten en referentes de su catálogo, como “Yo Voy” y “Soy Una Gárgola”, reversiones en clave post-punk que resignifican canciones populares desde una mirada oscura e introspectiva. Estas reinterpretaciones no solo ampliaron su alcance digital, sino que también definieron el tono conceptual de la nueva etapa del proyecto.

Durante 2022 lanzan los EP Reflejos y Raíces, destacando canciones como “Antagonistas” y “Eres Demasiado Pa' Este Mundo”, que consolidan su lenguaje sonoro: bajos protagónicos, guitarras reverberantes y letras que abordan la ansiedad, la memoria y el desencanto generacional.

Ese mismo año lanzan Lost Tape Side A y Lost Tape Side B, dos trabajos compuestos por reinterpretaciones de canciones que marcaron sus principales influencias, abordadas desde una estética y sonoridad post-punk. Versiones como “Diva Virtual” y “Lovesong” expanden su propuesta conceptual, generando un cruce entre cultura urbana popular y estética alternativa, y reforzando su interés por tensionar los límites de género.

En 2024 publican Catarsis, donde canciones como “Cuando te pienso” o “Hasta que la muerte nos separe” marcan una etapa de mayor cohesión sonora y madurez emocional. En 2025 lanzan Lost Tape Post-Mortem, consolidando su evolución artística con canciones como “Hazlo”, que sintetiza el recorrido iniciado en 2015.

Depresión Post-Mortem no revive el post punk: lo reinterpreta desde la experiencia de una generación que aprendió a convivir con la ansiedad, el ruido y la ciudad.
