The american producer has teamed up with another well known house legend coming also from the USA, Joeski. &#8220;Choose One&#8221; is a colourful track with a phat groove that reminds us to the old chicago house beats, while &#8220;When You Touch Me&#8221; is an old school cut directly linked to the acid movement. It&#8217;s great to have these two house legends together in Suara showing us how music was produced 20 years ago. If this is not enough, we have a techno legend as Christian Smith showing us how to reconvert an old-school track into a much more actual sounding cut. Formerly known as Al Tourettes, London-based producer Alec Storey unveiled his new project as Second Storey with 2013’s ‘Margosa Heights’ EP. Now he drops ‘Shaman Champagne’, the lead single from ‘Double Divide’, his forthcoming debut LP due for release this October on Houndstooth, the esteemed label from London nightclub fabric, which is A&Red by Electronic Explorations curator Rob Booth.

Inhabiting a space full of contradictions, paradoxes and idiosyncrasies, Storey produces music that runs the gamut from multi-part suites of hefty sound design to club-shaking yet brainy dance epics for labels like Apple Pips, Aus and many more. This new project is at the crossroads; vastly complex and intricately arranged, “Shaman Champagne” is an adventurous club tune crafted by a truly inspired mind, showing off his bass roots as well as his psychedelically inspired musical abilities.

On the heels of his successful The Power And The Glory LP, Perc Trax label boss Perc (@perc) offers up a wonderfully heavy, pummelling remix, followed by a bouncy dancefloor roller from Aden, who is rumoured to be the Ultramajic label’s A&R, Machinedrum (@machinedrum)

The 12" is cut & mastered by Matt Colton, and limited to 500 copies.

Debuted during Mobilee’s famed off-Sonar week to a frenzied response, French producer/live act Rodriguez Jr. delivers his first highly anticipated EP of 2015.
A renowned perfectionist, Rodriguez Jr. (AKA Olivier Mateu) has been honing his craft for 20 years. It stretches back to the Atari computer and keyboards that dominated his early production experiences, to the years spent disseminating superb on-point electronica as one half of The Youngsters on Laurent Garnier’s seminal F Communications imprint, right up until today when the artists works tirelessly to experiment with his machines in his impressive Brussels-based studio and push his sound forward. 
A mainstay of Anja Schneider’s mobilee collective since 2010, Rodriguez Jr. has been one of the jewels in the label’s crown; his effervescent live sets have made him one of the most exciting artists in his field, while his productions remain classy, catchy and always forward-thinking. 
The ‘Chrysalism’ EP sees Rodriguez Jr. tireless drive to develop his sound signature in full flight, all the while staying true to his core production principles of creating captivating, memorable electronic music.
Utilised to great effect in early stages of his recent live sets, the title track is a master class in dramatic juxtapositions and is an exquisite seven-minute composition of warm uplifting synth layers that build over a rough-edged clatter of drums delicately balancing the elements of tension and beauty on a knife’s edge. 
‘Etoile Du Nord’ (literally meaning ‘Star of the North’) is a dreamy, propulsive slice of Motor City-inspired techno and the kind you could imagine soundtracking a warehouse party at 6am as the sun begins to seep through the cracks in the corrugated iron roof. 
The EP is rounded out by ‘Kenopsia’ that evokes a kind of beautiful, eerie sense of somber as delicate layers of twinkling melody bubble over the contemplative patter of drums and the light drone of bass. 
“Going back in the studio after months of intense touring, almost one year after my 'Persistence Of Vision' EP, has resulted in strong moments of self awareness and experimentation with my machines. This is why I chose titles such as 'Chrysalism' and 'Kenopsia', describing obscure sorrows you could sometimes feel, without being able to name them,” Rodriguez Jr. explains. 
“Technically, this EP is a crucial step as it's a first attempt to define what my forthcoming album will be. I had collected lots of material while travelling, and my aim was to keep on developing my sound signature in order to emphasize the core emotions - it's been all about stripping things down, focusing on melodies and textures and, once again, finding inspiration in my deepest influences such as the early techno from Detroit.”

Cera Alba returns to MadTech this June with the ’89 EP, comprising two original compositions, a dub interpretation and a remix from Montel.

Liam Jones, better known to most as Cera Alba has become a driving force for underground house and techno from the UK over the past few years with releases on Hot Creations, AVOTRE, Lost Records and of course Kerri Chandler’s MadTech imprint where he returns to here.

Kick starting the release is title cut ‘‘89’ which lays down a dark and brooding groove via weight percussion and bubbling dub stabs before gradually unfolding into a crescendo of bright piano chords and soul infused vocal lines. ‘Solitary Nights’ follows and retains the eerie aesthetic of the preceding record, laying the focus on menacing bass drones, tension building atmospherics and rumbling subs, while subtly evolving percussion and sporadic vocal licks ebb and flow throughout.

Montel steps in to remix ‘’89’ next, bringing shuffled rhythms, chugging bass swells and swirling delayed snippets from the original vocal and piano into the limelight to create a unique twist on the original number. A ‘Dub’ of ‘’89’ from Alba then shapes up the package.

Mihalis Safras' Material imprint welcomes Gruuv founder Audiojack to the label with the inimitable 'Perception'. Joining the boys on the release are Kevin Yost and Joeski, who look after the remixes duties.

Label boss Steve Mulder cooperated with techno legend D-Shake to make a 2016 version of one of techno's all time greatest classics 'Techno Trance'. After being road tested by the worlds greatest DJ of all time - Carl Cox, the master himself decided he wanted to do a remix for this release!! SCI+TEC further strengthen their European connection by welcoming a new Romanian - Spanish pairing in the form of A++ & Rosper. 

Now based in Amsterdam, Sugar Factory resident A++ has already seen his music supported by many of the scenes leading lights and signed to labels including KMS and Intacto. Valencia’s Rosper, a regular behind the decks of the city’s famous Barraca club, stormed the download charts with his very first release, on Stickrecordings. 

Together the pair bring us the 'Bombshell' Ep, a three track offering that showcases their dark, minimal movements to perfection. Leading the release is the bubbling title track with its roof-raising rises and thumping kick drum. 

A++ flies solo on 'V1olence' and delivers a menacing number that's powered by a throbbing cardiac beat and growling bassline. 

Back together on the final cut and the duo turn gangster with ‘M.obscene’. A housier vibe than the previous pair, A++ & Rosper finish on a high with shuffling snares and a feel-good flourish.
