I composed this fugue some years ago partly as an investigation into the properties of the 9:8 meter, and partly to check out some of the tools available for writing digital music.
	There are no vocals, the instruments are all synthesized and the instrumental parts are all largely constructed rather than played … the idea being to concentrate on composition rather than instrumental technique.
	It was my first real foray into synthesized sound, hence the title.

I’ve been a Beatles’ fan since my 2 brothers started buying their records in the early 60’s, not only because their sound completely revolutionized my attitude to music but also because of their take on life.  They were so completely unafraid to say what they thought, a stance that not only resonated with me but with the youth of the entire world.  Theirs was a cultural force that changed everything, a thread indelibly stitched into the fabric of the way we live now.  For that, I think we owe them so much.  Best band there ever was, is and always will be. 
Again, I owe a huge debt of thanks to Hans for making this song everything I wanted it to be.  His talent never ceases to amaze me, something I always say but which is nonetheless so true.

Firstly on easy listening 6/4 bars, I cut some notes out of the main theme so as to give it dynamism, and finally obtained a prime amalgam of 17 quarter notes. I hid any recognizable thing in the accompaniment, and for the organic lines (voice and guitars) I tried the strong rhythm would not fix too much the melodies, first paying a lot of attention, and finally ... just letting me go.
