Axel Boman broke through in 2010 with his Holy Love EP, released on DJ Koze's Pampa Records. The track Purple Drank became an instant classic in underground house music circles – since then, Boman has toured extensively while releasing original productions and remixes on labels like DFA, Hypercolour, Kompakt, Permanent Vacation and Ovum, as well as on Studio Barnhus, the label he runs together with Kornél Kovács and Petter Nordkvist.

Family Vacation, Boman's debut album, arrives on Studio Barnhus in November 2013.

“I decided to go through the vast collection of ideas and sketches I had on my computer, as a final project before I set that machine on fire and let it all go up in flames. Kind of like what Lee "Scratch" Perry did with The Black Ark in Kingston in the 70's. A friend says the album sounds like “weird Jamaican space disco" so maybe it's a fitting reference”, says Boman himself.

Axel Boman's music has also been described as "raw and playful house music drenched in oceans of soul". He graduated with a master's degree from Valand School of Fine Arts in 2010 and currently lives in the calm and peaceful Stockholm suburb Gröndal.

Electronic producer Flako resides in London and has previously called Berlin and Chile home, but the lead track from his forthcoming Eclosure 12″ sounds as if it emerged from across the pond– specifically, from the burbling wonkiness of Los Angeles’ Flying Lotus-fronted Brainfeeder beat crew. Oftentimes, the sound that comes from Brainfeeder artists can resemble something of a locked groove, but “Honey Drips” opens up beautifully, dissolving into a soup of keyboard runs and tangled vocals. German producer Erdbeerschnitzel is the next to get the nod for the house focused Delsin series with a new three track EP, 'Cushion'. The man born Tim Keiling has been forever hard to pin down, with releases that take in techno, disco and deep house on labels like Mirau and 4Lux. This new EP is no different…

The title track is a blissful, sunny day affair with raw, loose drums, trilling harmonies and a light fingered percussive touch that simply fills you with joy. Next track 'Am Bossele' is a more dense affair with layered samples of voices and off kilter percussion never really settling, instead they prickle and bustle in all directions and make for a lively listen.

Final track 'Crossroads' is a nine-minute workout that eventually makes way for a fizzing, slowed tempo melange of wiry synthesiser lines and clusters of wooden sounding percussion. The textures are both organic and synthetic and the counter between the two is what stands the track apart. An all important human touch comes from the mired vocal sample and once again proves Erdbeerschnitzel to be someone with a very unique voice.

 Before developing his playful, warm, tech-house sound, Swede Axel Boman studied fine arts at Göteborg – where a purple fountain installation project would eventually inspire his debaucherous 2010 breakthrough tech-house track, “Purple Drank”. Learning the ropes of irresistibly quirky 4/4 structures at Stockholm’s Fryhuset DJ school, Boman slowly mastered the subtleties of samplers and drum machines, before incorporating other instruments into his production arsenal – Roland synths, effects pedals and VST-type programs. One third of Stockholm’s famed Studio Barnhus label and DJ crew (with Kornél Kovács and Petter Nordkvist), Boman also pursues a slew of peripheral projects, including his DFA-signed disco-pop duo Man Tear (with Nordkvist) and the experimental art project The Radioactive Orchestra, aimed at creating music using radioactive isotopes. Since securing a solid electronic standing with the Holy Love EP (2010) on Pampa Records, the Red Bull Music Academy alumni has built a mischievous and flawlessly executed body of tech-house work, which he reveals as part of a live MUTEK set.
