This is freely improvised music - just first takes. No corrections. Starting with a ruler between the strings during the first minute, leading to a bossa based structure in the central chords. Then Cheryl added her exciting poetic flute lines, spontaneously and highly sensitive in responding to the present material ... it's always just a kind of search - a search for the right moments.

Werners drums always offer me a perfect template to groove ahead. Time to pick up my old Fender Jazz Bass again and trying some crunchy stuff. The special thing here is that the guitar retreats to the second place. I'm not primarily a bass player, but in this tune that bass is the king.
