I'm staring at the ceiling, counting cracks in the wall,
Echoes of silence, no one's calling at all.
My thoughts are drifting, like a boat in the sea,
Lost in the darkness, there's no light I can see.

Paper stacks towering, a monument to my plight,
Emails keep pouring, in the dead of the night.
My soul's been auctioned, to the corporate machine,

But I won't do it, 'cause they'd think it's strange,
In this prison of norms, I can't rearrange.

Coffee cups empty, like the void in my chest,
The clock keeps ticking, won't give me a rest.
My heart's a furnace, burning with suppressed rage,
Trapped like a rat, in this cubicle cage.

But I won't do it, 'cause they'd think it's strange,

Just an old project that I really wanted to finish as soon as I found it, and I finished it last weekend. It will soon be released on other platforms, along with another old orchestral project and two solo piano pieces that I've been working on for a long time, and finally finished!
