Amity’s next outing is keeping it a family affair, with co-honcho Mulholland entering the fray. This follows a breathtaking EP from Elpac & Bristol royalty, Grove. Not to mention ‘that’ V/A last year, containing some of the best about (Cassius Select, Saskia & Pluralist, to name a few), the label is quickly establishing itself at the heart of a burgeoning underground scene.

Mulholland’s catalogue has flourished too, with stand out releases on imprints like Martyn’s 3024, CloudCore, Banoffee Pies & Woozy. This record however, feels like a significant landmark and perhaps his best work to date, all whilst being on home turf just makes it feel even more right. There’s a definite theme with serious sub-pressure laced through unique bass lines, shifting each track into a certified dance floor weapon. The EP doesn’t shy away from interesting perc work & clever sampling either, making it an extremely well-rounded release and another big step for Mulholland and Amity.

Built on instinctive synergy and a mutual vision of the dancefloor, the track weaves the jagged syncopations of baile funk with the elastic rhythms of UK garage. Bridging the gap between London and São Paulo, this collaboration distills a hybrid groove, engineered for the most demanding sound systems. A fluid, necessary collision that captures the essence of two ever-evolving scenes.

Palmco is a creative duo with its own production line based in Pontevedra (Galicia). Among other projects such as PALMCO RADIO, this EP is the result of the union and friendship between Palmkids and the Galician label Must Be On Wax. On this EP, Bruss presents his vision of 90s Brazilian Baile Funk, fusing the pulsating rhythms of Baile Funk and deep grooves of Miami Bass, including remixes by Juait and StreetChoice.
