Today the worlds get Encoded! Finally the release is there of one of the most anticipated tracks of one of the fastest rising dj/producers of 2011; Hardwell! DJ Hye Profile is a popular Armenian music remixer, producer and DJ, internationally known within the Armenian community for his electronic-music-inspired remixes of popular Armenian hit songs. DJ Hye Profile grew up in Montreal Canada, surrounded by two otherwise conflicting musical genres: firstly, the permeating presence of traditional and modern Armenian popular and folk music in his family home and his community; and secondly, the seductive and hypnotizing tones of electronic music while unavoidably listening to the likes of M.C. Mario on the most popular musical radio station in Montreal (MIX 96). He played the piano from a young age, and in his teenage years DJ Hye Profile started performing as a DJ within the Armenian community of Montreal and also found himself deeply entrenched in the Montreal club and afterhours electronic music scene. It was therefore unavoidable for him to mix the two into his musical profile and start producing and releasing electronic remixes of popular Armenian songs of the day. He's also produced and released electronic music inspired from various styles of electronic music, using the low thick kick drum and organic "squelchy" synth sounds of goa trance à la Astral Projection, to chiptune and dubstep genres of Deadmau5, the hard techno of Hardwell, Adam Beyer and Chris Liebing, but his most prominent influence is melodic trance and progressive house from the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Swedish Hosue Mafia, Deep Dish, Preach, Eric Prydz, Tiësto and especially Misstress Barbara. In fact, like the latter his stage name is also a “portmanteau” (“Hye” is an alliteration of “high” and actually means “Armenian” in his native language).
