Consisting of Danish-born (LA-based) producer Tim McEwan and NYC-based singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle, The Midnight have emerged in recent years as a veritable leader of the synthwave resurgence. More specifically, the duo have received generous support from legions of synthwave enthusiasts, as well as more casual synth-pop fans, ever since their aesthetic-defining debut EP "Los Angeles" (2014). Their subsequent LP offering, "Endless Summer" (2016), cemented the duo's reputation as one of the finest new synthwave acts, a sentiment that musical legends (Chicane), renowned artist peers (FM-84), and prominent genre hubs (NewRetroWave) have graciously reinforced of late. The Midnight Remixed, one of our most ambitious releases to date, features brand new remixes by a distinguished group of Silk Music veterans, whose melodic and atmospheric sound has significantly helped to define our brand. We've also recruited a few famed nonresident label contributors, including Lifelike and Michael Cassette, whose specific compositional gifts and musical legacies seemed especially apropos to this 80s-influenced endeavor.

The Midnight Remixed showcases breathtaking new interpretations of The Midnight's past work, ranging in style from drum & bass and deep house to trance & progressive. Michael Cassette, Johan Vilborg, Dezza, Lifelike, PROFF, Terry Da Libra, Sundriver, and Talamanca's exhilarating, club-oriented interpretations feature rapturous chords, and, of course, Tyler's mellifluous and infectious vocal hooks. Offerings from Marsh, Vintage & Morelli, eleven.five, and Mango vs. We Are All Astronauts convey a deeper and more introspective musical tone, but are nonetheless equally memorable.

Having premiered on our second Balearic Beach compilation, Mexican producer Andrew Frenir now debuts his first EP on our imprint. As the title suggests, “Summer Vibing” captures the last vestiges of summer’s incandescent glow. 

The titular track’s melodic rhythm vibes off the winds and currents of summer’s transitioning tides. Sensual grooves and canorous escapades make “Summer Vibing” a delicious nose ride along the Soluna surf. Transitioning from summer’s warm embrace, the colors of autumn begin to saturate both the atmospheric skylines and Earth’s verdant gardens. Groovy, melodic, and sentimentally appealing, “Autumn” shall audibly flourish. “From Where the Sun Comes” is a reminder of the fond memories interwoven on a summer tapestry. Blissful arpeggiated chords and smooth grooves strung together in a beautiful melodic arrangement leaves a sunny luster in the hearts of listeners.

Italy based Richard Bass makes his way back to our Progressive House Worldwide label, this time with another 2 sensational melodic progressive productions. Having a great year, a very productive one and with loads of support through a lot of the major names in the business, he surely drops another 2 productions here having that great blend of melodies and energy that he is so well known for. 

“I Think Of You” has all the right ingredients to become a new summer anthem for him. It’s a good thing with the world that no matter where we are, there is a summer season and Richard Bass is there to definitely seek it up. With warm melodies, packed with all that feel good vibes, Soothing bass lines and chord progressions that are evolving throughout the track, he surely strikes and he does it in his own style. 

As for “My Ways”, we are getting the vibe and tempo up a bit as this is a bit more energetic in style. With melodies and chord progression evolving all over, he surely is to take us places with this rocking beauty. It’s just another one of “THOSE” from him and we can’t do much more than to lift our hats, he’s done it again and we are of course proud and honoured to see him team up with us once more. Awesome work Ricardo but you know this already!
