After such a long time, it's a pleasure to be able to upload a recording again!

So... here's my contribution to last weekend's Høj Luft here in Copenhagen. Unfortunately the mood was so good, that cops got jealous and decided to shut the music down during my set, hence the pretty sharp ending. To smoothen it out a little, I added a closing track in the studio. It wasn't played at the event, but it's a new release from @monkymanmusic , whose lyrics fit very well with my mood and with the music being shut down and all.

A huge thanks goes to MegaMads, to his 41 years and to all the gorgeous people that once again made this city a little more twisted in that special, lovely way: you had been missed.

Nil Son is one of the guys who was on line ups when I started taking my first steps in Dresden's underground music scene - and he still is.

Looking back, at the beginning of our friendship he was more into deephouse and techno music.
Over the time he found his love for slower music and his sound gradually got more and more influenced by labels such as URSL, Laut&Luise or Serafin Audio Imprint.
He never lost the ability to adjust his style to any given situation. This 
 and the fact that we share our passion for both rough and slower music makes him also the DJ I had my best b2b's with and brought us closer together.

- Was machst du gerade in Zeiten, in denen du nicht auflegen oder veranstalten kannst? -

✘ Mir war wirklich nicht langweilig. Ich bin so busy wie schon lange nicht mehr. Seit zwei Monaten wirke ich bei ‚United We Stream‘ mit. Ich bin zuerst in den Social Media Bereich eingestiegen und habe mich dann in die Awareness Arbeit eingebracht. Wir haben zusammen ein Awareness Manifest entwickelt, welches als Guideline für Clubs und Veranstalter_innen in Bezug auf die Programmgestaltung der UWS Streams dient: https://unitedwestream.berlin/awareness-manifest-united-we-stream/ 

Darüber hinaus habe ich meinen eigenen Birthday Stream zelebriert, war mit Saphear beim Schiffbruch Stream in der Bucht dabei und spiele am 30.05.20 beim Karneval der Kuriositäten im Polygon Club, ein Streaming Event, welches organisiert wird von Geholper und Gestolper.

Weiterhin planen wir eine neue Edition des Freundetreffen Festivals 2021, für welches ich dieses Jahr zum ersten Mal im Booking involviert war.

- Gibt es eine Story zu deinem Podcast? Oder war alles intuitiv? -

✘ Mir war irgendwie direkt klar, dass ich mit Efdemins 'Oh, Lovely Apperance of Death‘ starte, da mich der Track mit seinen Lyrics (Gedicht von Charles Wesley, 1780: Funeral Hymn For A Believer) total berührt. Da ich letztes Jahr einen schweren Verlust erleiden musste und ich seitdem immer wieder mit tiefer Trauer konfrontiert bin, reagiere ich dementsprechend auch auf entsprechende Inhalte und feinfühlige, transzendierende Sounds. 

Mit Jon Hopkin’s ’Singing Bowl’ schließt diese Reise dann perfekt an. Ich mag es, mit Ambient Sounds zu starten und dann das Tempo langsam zu erhöhen und mich aus der Dunkelheit ins Licht zu spielen. Wie zu hören ist, bin ich auch ein Fan von psychedelischen Spähren, die die Zuhörenden in fantasievolle Gedanken-Experimente eintauchen lassen. Mein Motto dabei: Hauptsache, es groovt! Genres können und dürfen sich dabei ruhig vermischen, denn es gibt so viele kleine Details, die Tracks verbinden. 

- Werden wir bald mal einen "Chrystal Chris Track" serviert bekommen? Ist in dieser Richtung was geplant? -

Im März diesen Jahres, kurz vor den ganzen gesellschaftlichen Restriktionen, habe ich meine erste Mini-Liveperformance 'Waves of the Unconsciousness‘ zusammen mit einer bildenden Künstlerin, die dazu Visuals gemacht hat, aufgeführt. Also, ja, ich produziere momentan eigene Tracks, aber sie brauchen alle noch einen gewissen Schliff und ein paar kleine Highlights, sodass sie released werden können. Ich sag jetzt mal erste EP noch 2020, Live Performance dann 2021! 

- Warum ist lila deine Lieblingsfarbe? -

✘ Für mich strahlt lila Leidenschaft, Wärme, Stärke, Schutz und Kraftquelle aus. Lila macht mir so ein wohliges Gefühl und lässt mich zu Hause fühlen.
