what you hear is a technique, known as overdubbing, to sing and record different vocal lines using only my voice

My mother used to sing me this song when i was little. With this song, years later, we won the First prize award in a school music competition. This same song was also part of my thesis for the department of music technology and acoustics in Crete, Greece.

 I love this song, I hope you will love it too.

This is a tribute to the movie "The Old Man and the Sea" based off of the book by Hemingway. The first time I saw that movie starring Spencer Tracy, I was a mere pup and I was mesmerized! The memory of that has stayed with me over the years. I haven’t seen it again until recently and it brought back a flood of memories for me. 

Anthony Quinn did a remake of it which, in my estimation, is a little more real in scope then the Hollywood-ized version with Tracy. For my little odd ambient tribute here, I use some voice dubs by Anthony Quinn that I found. I tried to convey that mood that one might have  being alone in a boat on a listless ocean waiting for something to happen.

Perhaps, deep reflection is the only solace to keep loneliness at bay. I hope you all enjoy this offering and do check out the movie if you get a chance. Please leave a comment if you so desire!
