Crushed promises and the future I imagined erased like a nonsensical passing thought, what felt like eternity now just a immemorial memory. As I feel myself falling in and out of my head, grasping for the pieces of glass I gave you it all feels demeaning. Revolted in myself for not seeing it was only my own torch that was lit. For you I was only another person on the journey, for me you were the only person on my planet. Clay mask of aggression that hides my maim, all I can do is scoff at myself. Nevertheless, I faced all of my fears and as I begin to regain my focus I recognize nothing I endure is irony, how could I ever think it was something different “as if”.  I used to think nothing was more bewitching than your soul however I’m learning acceptance is pure perfection. 
As I say goodbye to those golden hazel swimming pools that pierced my ego, I’m just lively I was one of the souls to be gazed upon.
