Ayman Asfour is Egyptian violin player and composer, born in Alexandria in 1979. 
He started playing the violin at age of 20 with a rejection from the violin teachers in the conservatory in Alexandria to teach him, thinking that he is too old to learn this instrument! So he started to self educate himself for 3 years until he made it to graduate from the violin department in the Faculty of Specific Education and became himself the youngest violin teacher in this faculty at the same year he graduated from.

Later he started to establish himself as professional violinist working with many artists in the Egyptian music scene also started to present him self as a composer and producer for many other projects in Egypt specially for theater and contemporary dance performances. Meanwhile he was mastering many different styles of music like Oriental Arabic Music and Western Classical Music and Jazz and appearing in many theaters and festivals in Malta, Denmark, Ireland, Tunisia, Germany, Kuwait, Netherlands, Jordan, Oman, Bahrain, Switzerland, UK, Lebanon and Congo.

Throughout his musical career Ayman Asfour had many collaborations with many international artists such as the legendary Irish fiddler Frankie Gavin, and the Cello player & contemporary British composer Oliver Coates, and the free jazz Finnish Drummer P.o. Jørgens, and the Jordanian composer Tarek Al-Nasser and the German oud player Roman Bunka and American Trumpeter Amir El Saffar.

Also he shared the stage with many other artists and bands like British violinist Daniel Mirrle and Egyptian electronic composer Maurice Luca and Massar Egbari Band and Station band and Egyptian Oud player Hazem shaheen and Tunisian singer Ghalia Benali and with Egyptian singers Dina El Wedidi and Maryam Saleh and Nada EL Shazly.

Besides he had attended many workshops with many other artists like Palestinian composer/singer/Oud player Kamilya Jubran and Egyptian Qanoun player Hossam Shaker and the Austerian classical quartet,Radio String Quartet, and the German electronic music composer Thomath Brinkman.

Lastly Ayman Asfour has many other musical contributions as a creator and producer and art manager in many other projects.
